What You’ll Get to Do:
Intern network engineers get to function as part of a dynamic team of engineers responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of CACI’s Corporate & Development Operations networks. Responsibilities include Operations, management, assessments, troubleshooting, upgrades, site deployments across the CACI's distributed enterprise network environment. Rapidly expand your knowledge and experience across numerous aspects of bleeding edge network and cyber technologies.
This position will be hybrid with the expectation that you be in office 80% of the time so you must live within the local commuting distance (50 miles).
More About the Role:
- Assist with racking, building, cabling for provisioning servers and network gear.
- Learn to configure and install various network and security devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers & access points, and VPNs. Conduct network testing and monitoring performance; troubleshoot network problems and outages).
- Learn and help maintain challenging enterprise network environment to include multiple data centers and 100 plus campus/satellite offices across the US. Support configuration, troubleshooting, deployment of Cisco, Palo Alto firewalls, networking hardware, switches (Multi-Layer, Data Center/ Access/Core/ Distribution) routers, software defined access – SDA, ISE, SDWAN, ACI, WLAN, Cisco Secure Workloads, network engineering support, network management systems, CACI office connectivity, WAN/MAN/EPL/FLEXVPN, wired and wireless and remote access solutions.
- Position may involve frequent typing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and lifting. Lifting requirements may range from <10 lbs. - 50 lbs. on a regular basis, with heavier weights done in conjunction with other individuals or lifting aids
- Must be very conscientious, accurate, detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work different shifts including nights, weekends and holidays is a plus
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking equipment
- Basic understanding of the OSI Layers 1-4, structured wiring, and cabling
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be currently enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate Student
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- CCNA
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$33,700-$60,000
