This will include approximately 7,500 Bolton NHS Foundation Trust employees based both at the hospital and at 25 community sites as well as support for the Bolton GP's and CCG which cover 1,300 staff across 50 sites.

The role involves servicing Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special Type Test Equipment (STTE), and will be based at the Bolton site.

The ideal candidate for the position of Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for calibrating test and measuring equipment according to specific instructions, handbooks, drawings, or specifications. They will also provide technical advice and guidance on C&M measurement.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (highly essential).
• Experience and knowledge in test equipment calibration and maintenance of test systems down to the component level.
• Clear understanding of calibration principles and processes.
• Able to provide technical advice, fault finding, and repairs using instructions, handbooks, drawings, and specifications down to component level.
• Confidently manage multiple issues, tasks, and priorities concurrently and have analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Responsible for commissioning and accepting test facilities, ensuring that the equipment and facilities are configured correctly and that there is proper control over the configuration.
• Provide Technical support to facilitate the efficient servicing of STTE to enable production testing of hardware and repair phases of the contract-assessment of related equipment issues and directing support services to resolve equipment failures.
• Provide technical information and advice to the Integrated Production Team as the Calibration representative.
