AXA Partners are searching for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who specialises in Azure Cloud and Networking to join their IT team based in Redhill on a six month fixed term hybrid contract. This role attracts a base salary up to 65k depending on experience. You will be accountable for IT Service Operations in the UK and Ireland geographies and for the execution of processes and procedures, within the IT Systems and Maintenance team, to ensure IT services remain in high availability and in line with AXA compliance and security standards.
The primarily purpose for this role is to act as a point of incident and request resolution for the IT Operations Teams. You’ll be using your expert IT Industry knowledge and experience to resolve difficult problems/ projects. Plus, coaching other members of the Support team to ensure a coherent and standard approach is maintained to supporting the infrastructure. You’ll also be ensuring documentation for systems and services are maintained in line with platform updates and group compliance and security standards.

Act as a point of escalation within the team for all technical issues relating to Azure Cloud and Networking
Support the IT team on planning and executing projects. Recording and tracking project issues and escalations
Keep pace with technology advances. Contribute to the effective planning and development of the IT infrastructure to maximize the business benefit of new and changing technology
Provide coaching to the team in relation to Azure Cloud and Networking including any supplementary material
Perform upgrades and updates to key infrastructure platforms in line with maintenance schedule or security requirements
Remediation of security vulnerabilities, including updating, patching and implementing security fixes on various systems
Manage and prioritize escalations from the business related to BAU activities and ensure targeted SLA's are met
Follow change management process

Senior Engineer

I am currently on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to join a Water Treatment project near Tunbridge Wells. Within your role, you will provide assistance to the Site Manager providing technical inpt, coordinating design and temporary works.

Duties:

• Temporary works coordinator, ensuring all training is kept up to date and attending all internal temporary works forums
• Responsbile for all temporary works mangement on site
• Ability to review designs from subcontractors to ensure they are in line with other designs and permanent works
• Maintaining the temporary works register
• Being able to assess temporary works supervisors as well as appointing and managing them
• Assisting in mainting drawing files, register and site filing system
• Liasing and working closely with the design department
• Technical reviews of subcontractors method statements, ITPs and programmes
• Providing technical support to the Site Foreman and Site Manager
• Ensure all works are constructed to a good quality
• Lifting Appointing person duties are also preferred but not essential

Essential Qualifications:

• HNC in Civil Engineering or BTEC National

Desirable Qualifications:

• First Aid
• SSSTS
• CSCS Supervison Card
• EUSR

The Project:

This client has a diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from access road improvements, public realm works, highways schemes, water treatment works, marine works and specialist framework projects.

The specific projects that you would be working on initially would be highways. Therefore, experience in this area would be advantageous.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation Nationwide.

This role will be site based, with the occasional need to spend time in the Head Office.

You will be responsible for:

• Reporting to a Site Agent
• Managing up to 4 Setting out engineers / Site engineers
• Some setting out of areas, using drawings provided
• Quality Assurance
• Writing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
• Carrying out precise works to project specifications
• Keeping site records
• Ordering materials
• Liaising with site staff

Requirements:

• Degree / HND qualified
• AutoCAD
• Use of Total Stations or GPS
• Experience in heavy civils projects and groundworks
• Ability to explain design ideas and plans clearly and concisely
• Excellent communicator both written and verbal
• Ability to work within budgets and to tight deadlines
• Ability to work within a team
