We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our expanding Mission Critical team in our newly refurbished Central London office. We operate a hybrid working model which for us means typically 3 days in the office or on site and 2 days at home (depending on the need for site visits/client meetings).

What does the role involve:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organisation, budget and timeline. The projects will be complex, high risk and high profile for Sweco’s Mission Critical Division. You will use your proven working experience, solid education, technical background and commercial skills to help direct and shape projects, monitor and report on progress and contribute to the continuous development of management tools.
Key responsibilities will include:
Determining and defining project scope and objectives.
Leading at the bid preparation stage of projects and subsequently managing projects independently.
Tracking project costs and performance in order to meet budget and target profit.
Developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan.
Providing project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Reporting on project KPIs to the project executive and external stakeholders.
Anticipating and proactively managing stakeholders’ needs.
Understanding and managing contractual standards and obligations.
Procuring and managing contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks, communicating expected deliverables and ensuring quality.
Using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Identifying and monitoring risks within the project ensuring that plans are in place to mitigate impact.
To be successful in this role you’ll possess:
A background in business, management, budgeting and analysis in the construction industry. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude. You will be proactive, collaborative, organised, methodical and a natural problem solver with the ability to influence others.
You will also have:
A Strong educational background in engineering or business.
Significant experience of working experience as a Project Manager in design and construction projects. Experience in the delivery of Mission Critical facilities would be beneficial.
A project management qualification would be desirable.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Proven experience in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar software would be desirable.
Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
