The Program Manager (Civil Rights, DEIA, and EEO):
- Serves as the Corporation’s expert on Civil Rights, DEIA, Anti-Harassment, Reasonable Accommodations and EEO program matters
- Provides strategic, operational, and organizational initiatives that grows capacity for intercultural competence, nurturance of diverse populations, and inclusive leadership.
- Performs internal studies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of Corporation policies, directives, initiatives, and working procedures
- Researches policy issues and recommends changes and ensures progress that meets the goals of the Corporation, as well as full compliance of the Department of Transportation’s requirements
- Serves as confidential resource, facilitator, mediator, consultant, and dispute resolution practitioner for GLS personnel, seeking informal and early resolution of a wide range of workplace related and policy concerns
The ideal candidate is an experienced Senior Civil Rights, DEIA, and EEO Program Manager with a strong mastery of program management and a proven track record of advancing Civil Rights initiatives. This candidate has in-depth knowledge of EEO, DEIA, Reasonable Accommodation programs, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, E.O. 14091, and the Equal Pay Act. Skilled in fact-finding, analysis and conflict resolution, the ideal candidate excels at preparing comprehensive reports that provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations. PLEASE NOTE: One vacancy will be filled from this announcement from either Massena, NY or Washington, DC which will be determined by the manager. The difference in the salary is determined by the locality pay in the duty location.
