Experience in Servicing and repair across Commercial Heating systems, plant rooms.
Experience across Renewable systems including Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal and Biomass would be advantageous but not essential.

We are seeking to appoint a Cloud Engineer to join the multidisciplinary Oxford-GSK Institute of Molecular & Computational Medicine, based within the Nuffield Department of Medicine.

The Institute is built around fellows and Oxford-GSK project teams located across different departments within the Medical Sciences Division of the University. The initial projects focus on neurodegeneration and the central nervous system, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis but it is anticipated the range of activities will expand into other research areas in future.

You will be leading the design, planning, provisioning, ongoing maintenance and development of the IMCM Data Platform, and creating and updating documentation for the IMCM-specific aspects of the Data Platform. You will identify potential tools that can enhance the observability capabilities of the platform. This includes setup monitoring of the Platform to inform capacity planning and help spot potential problems before they affect researchers. You will be tasked with ensuring the security of the Platform is in line with the security guidelines provided by the University infosec teams and also from GSK. This includes developing and applying security policies (policy-as-code), applying updates and configuration checks, arranging penetration tests if needed.

It is essential that you are educated to degree level, with relevant experience. You will have extensive experience of deploying workloads across virtualisation platforms at scale, and experience of cloud platform engineering for production services. GCP experience is essential; experience with an additional provider preferred (Azure). Skills required

As Field Service Engineer, you will be:-

A strong ambassador for your employer
You will need to be experienced in hydraulic systems, axles, manual transmission and power shift, working on cam-bus electrical systems and working on relevant machinery as detailed.
Will build strong business relationships with your customer
Promoting a professional company image at all times
Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
You will hold NVQ Level 2, 3 or an equivalent qualification and will have proven relevant plant industry servicing and maintenance experience within construction, HGV, agricultural machinery.
You will have a full UK driving licence.

They are looking for a Gate Engineer who is confident working on a range of equipment to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Other titles may include Field Service Engineer, Barrier Engineer, Automatic Gate Engineer or Access Control Engineer.
Candidate locations could include Loughborough, North Leicestershire, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham or surrounding areas.

The Role of Field Service Engineer:
To service and maintain a wide range of Sliding, Swing and Automated Gate Systems, Barriers & access controls.
Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Electrical servicing and repairs
- Working with Roger Technology, CAME, BPT or BENINCA manufacturers
- Perform routine maintenance
- Completion of breakdown repairs & planned remedial works
- Delivering excellent face-to-face customer service
- Working as part of a small team
- Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements

The Candidate: Field Service Engineer:

- Previous experience as a Gate Automation/ Barrier Engineer
- Must have experience in servicing, installing, commissioning or repairing Automatic Electric Gates, Barriers, Access Control Equipment and Bollards
- Previous experience of working in a field-based role (desirable)
- Good communication skills with a range of individuals; customers to site operatives
- Knowledge of a range of gate/access control manufacturers would be beneficial
- Commutable to the company office in Loughborough
- Must hold a Full Clean UK Driving Licence

Salary/Package: Field Service Engineer:

- £32,000-£40,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
- Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Enhanced overtime available
