• Working with the Infrastructure Manager to ensure changes are planned and implemented in a structured and assured way.
• Testing of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Infrastructure incident management and resolution.
• Actioning any alerts generated by the monitoring systems in a timely manner
• Supporting the IT Service Desk function.
• Proactively seeking opportunities from across the organisation to improve the infrastructure.
• Documenting common practice, process flow diagrams and maintaining the knowledge base.

If you possess a combination of some of the following skills, then LETS TALK!

• Active Directory Administration.
• Office 365 / Exchange online
• Hypervisor technologies (Hyper-V, AHV or equivalent).
• Networking knowledge (LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Managed Switches, VLANs).
• PowerShell or any other scripting language or automation methodology.
• Windows Server (2008-2019).
• Windows (7, 10).
• Veeam Backup - desired but not essential.
• Linux/Unix administration experience - desired but not essential

39 Hours per week:
Day Shift
Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00
Friday 08:00 - 13:00
Overtime Rate Applicable

Mill Hill Heavy Engineering are seeking time served Manual Machinists to join our company based in Blackburn. The company specialises in the engineering of large machined parts & equipment for power generation, oil & gas, paper industries and much more. We service a variety of customers from small enterprises to blue chip customers in the UK and overseas. We are at an exciting point in our development and, due to considerable growth, require more manual machinists to join our busy machining team.

THE ROLE

To ensure safety and quality procedures are adhered to and assist in the improvement of processes.
Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.
Produce work to the highest quality standard to achieve customer satisfaction.
Work within British Standards as per company procedures.
Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.
To take part in specialist or multi-disciplinary team activities.
To behave in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

THE PERSON

Time served Machinist
Experience running manual lathes
Manual milling, slotting, vertical & horizontal boring
Ability to work to fine tolerances
Good team work and machining capability is essential
