The role
As a Planning Engineer , you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working on the latest cutting-edge technology for the Royal Navy ensuring the continuous at sea deterrent which ensures the safe guarding of the UK.
Day-to-day, you'll identify the maintenance data and work required for the future submarine maintenance periods.
- Resolve any planning and scheduling ambiguities within these activities.
- Provide regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders to ensure accuracy and achievement of the required quality.
- Build the indicative planning schedule (key date schedule) for the maintenance work activities
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. It is also adaptable and can be delivered from various locations including Bristol, Plymouth and Helensburgh.
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites around once per month.
Essential experience of the Planning Engineer
- Experience working as a Planning Engineer on complex engineering projects OR experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer.
- Understanding of relevant systems such as P6 or Microsoft project.
Qualifications for the Planning Engineer
- Ideally hold an HNC or HND, although this is not essential.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
