Job Title: Mobile commercial gas engineer

Location: Worthing, West Sussex

Contract: Warehouse, Retail & Commercial

Salary: Up to £48,000

I am currently working on behalf of a large FM and maintenance company, seeking an experienced and qualified commercial gas engineer. This will be a semi mobile based role covering 2 commercial properties, in the Worthing. Ideally the candidate has experience working within commercial environments carrying out all areas of commercial gas maintenance and minor remedial tasks.

As a Gas Engineer the post holder is responsible for planning and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to Commercial/Industrial boilers and completing inspection and gas safety check certificates.

Main duties will include:

• Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules, frequencies and industry best practices.
• Identify any defects found and provide parts list and estimated timescales to complete the defects.
• Ensure Boilers are transported and handled in accordance with current Health & Safety Regulations.
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues and customers.
• Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and plan operational duties, working with the various systems and reporting as requested.

As the Engineering Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day engineering operations and maintenance activities on-site, ensuring uninterrupted service to our critical infrastructure. You will manage a team of skilled engineers and technicians on shift, overseeing their work to ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols. HV experience or HV qualification is essential, as you'll be responsible for high-voltage equipment operations, maintenance, and emergency response.

• Supervise a team of engineers and technicians on shift, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, operational standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate shift activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within time constraints.
