• You will provide recommendations to project leaders on system interrelationships that must be considered in producing the desired outputs.

• You will develop, review, and coordinate assigned cost estimating and analysis products and services supporting SSP Acquisition Program(s) and initiatives and other reporting requirements.
• You will develop databases and cost models comprising of both commercial off the shelf hardware and software tailored as appropriate.
• You will work with branch managers and engineers to evaluate industry partner proposals for cost realism and/or other cost related areas
• You will participate in a broad range of cost and affordability efforts, economic analyses and major study efforts directed by higher authority (e.g. ASN RDA) to identify and assess program cost and schedule growth.

• You will deliver detailed support/risk briefs to Ship Design Managers (SDMs) and Deputy Ship Design Managers.
• You will provide engineering assessment, research, and problem resolution for COLUMBIA class submarine systems.
• You will provide responses to requests for technical assistance or adjudication received via letter, Engineering Reports (ERs), Work Deferral Requests (WDRs), Departures from Specification (DFS), and Liaison Action Requests (LAR).
• You will support the COLUMBIA Class submarine Program Office Technical Division for the integration and execution of COLUMBIA concept and design changes.
• You will participate/ lead VTCs, working groups, and planning and technical meetings.

The duties and responsibilities of an Interdisciplinary generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Direct and manage multiple levels to completion of project related to new construction, renovation, and improvement of real property facilities, to include utility systems.

• You will provide managerial overview of a wide range of engineering requirements and responsibilities for planning and execution of all matters related to general engineering and technical management, development and processes for JPOTS.
• You will plan, implement and execute Systems Engineering (SE) activities necessary for the deployment of an effective system and it's sustainment to meet the needs of the Fleet.
• You will serve as the Lead for prioritizing Research and Development budgets across the organization for the PMO.
• You will guide and supervise JPOTS staff in the planning and management of the programming and budgeting for JPOTS Program engineering functions.

As a Civil Engineer, you will:

• Communicate and coordinate with internal team members and stakeholders, external engineers, foreign utilities, the public, and Federal, state, and local jurisdictions by providing expert advice and input on a wide range of complex issues related to civil engineering, design and construction standards and specifications, and project completion.
• Serve as a technical leader for large and complex engineering projects that require the efforts of internal and external engineering teams.
• Find solutions to complex problems arising from conflicting requirements involving construction, engineering design, standards, or technical specifications; uses judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness in deviating from established methods to modify, adapt, and/or refine broader guidelines to resolve complex and/or intricate issues and problems.
• Lead or participate in development of BPA civil engineering standards, material specifications, and construction specifications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to the cross agency team, internal stakeholders, safety officers, auditors, attorneys, foreign utilities, the public, and Federal, State, and local jurisdictions by providing expert advice and input on a wide range of complex issues related to transmission transportation engineering, design and construction specifications, and project completion.
• Oversee projects to assure compliance with budgets, schedules, technical scope, and overall adequacy and quality.

My client is a top tier Internation Construction and Civil Engineering Company.

They are presently delivering improvement works to an RAF base in Northwest Wales.

The works include earthworks, drainage, replacement runway lighting, runway surfacing and the construction of several buildings.

*My client will offer subsistence support / lodge for those individuals residing beyond a reasonable daily commute.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will comply and implement the companies Integrated Management System procedures and guidance and promote its implementation with the Project Team.

You will be expected to develop a proactive working relationship with Clients and Consultants and report any potential opportunities to the Site Agent/Senior Engineer.

On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Site Engineer will include the following (not exhaustive):

• Promoting and lead the site safety culture
• Ensuring all works are carried out in a planned, controlled, and safe manner, in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and the Company SHEQ standards
• Recording any Near Misses on the Near Miss Cards
• Reviewing Site Operations with Senior Engineer/Agents to ensure that any works being undertaken outside of the Contract Requirements are raised as EWN/NCE including those verbally instructed by Employer or Others
• Monitoring the delivery of the project and identify risks and opportunities to optimise project delivery
• Ensuring required Setting Out is undertaken in timely manner using the latest Design Information to enable operations to progress effectively
• Reviewing Inspection and Test Plans with the Senior Engineer/Agent and ensure the required inspections and testing is undertaken and documented in the relevant file in accordance with the Project Management Plan
• Reviewing all relevant design information and raise Technical Queries where required
• Ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with the RAMS and that Hold Points are adhered to and actioned accordingly
