EEAST has a new opportunity to experienced vehicle technicians to work with our Fleet service.
As a Master Vehicle Technician, you will lead the maintenance and repair operations for our fleet of ambulances and emergency response vehicles.
You will utilise your advanced technical skills and leadership abilities to oversee the diagnosis, repair,
and maintenance of complex vehicle systems, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and safety to
support our critical emergency medical response services.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
• To cover certain aspects of managing the workshop in the absence of the Workshop Manager as directed by the Workshop manager, including workshop loading, and Job Card quality checks, Warranty procedures.
• Lead and supervise a team of vehicle technicians, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on ambulance and emergency response vehicles, utilising specialised equipment and software to identify and rectify complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Plan and prioritise maintenance schedules and repair tasks, coordinating with fleet management and operational personnel to minimise downtime and maintain service readiness.
• Perform in-depth mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs, including engine and transmission overhauls, brake system repairs, and component replacements, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and procedures to prolong the lifespan of fleet vehicles and optimise operational efficiency.
