Salary: Band 3. Basic pay £24,071.00 rising to £25,674.00 after two years. Successful candidates will have to deliver correct care advice and guidance to callers’ dependent upon the reason for the call. Full training will be given to the successful candidates and an excellent career structure is available for future career progression. A full range of shifts will need to be covered, including bank holidays, public holidays, weekends and may include working nights. If your shift falls on a bank holiday, it will form part of your working hours. This includes the Easter and the festive period. Due to the nature of the hours only applicants over the age of 18 can apply for this role.

We are currently looking for full-time call handlers. However hours considered will be 30+, Please note: full-time training for up to 10 weeks must be committed to.

Some examples start times are Monday to Friday from 16:00 hours and weekends from 08:00 hours. There is an expectation that candidates are flexible and available to accommodate working a number of set shifts per week including weekends.

Assessments Centres and interviews will take place on the weekend of 28th December 2024 at Liverpool site. We're currently looking for experienced qualified Emergency Medical Technicians to work out of our Cheshire and Merseyside North Sector (Liverpool). This is a permanent contract and hours will consist of shift work.

To assist in the delivery of high quality and effective pre-hospital clinical care and patient transportation, responding to 999 emergencies, inter-hospital transfers, urgent hospital admissions and other allocated patient interventions commensurate with the role and responsibilities.

To use advanced driving skills under blue light and normal traffic conditions to respond to and transport emergency and routine calls as required.

Salary: Band 3. Basic pay £22,816 rising to £24,336 after two years. For potential earnings with shift enhancements/unsocial hour payments but not including overtime, a typical call handler on a basic salary of £24,336 who works approximately 25% of their hours as unsocial hours could expect to get paid in the region of £30,000 per annum, before tax and deductions.

You will need experience of data input (Office 365) and a high standard of keyboard/typing skills. Experience of working in a call centre or customer service environment is desirable. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for providing excellent customer service. Call Handlers working in an integrated call centre will be the person managing a variety of calls from a wide range of different patients. Calls may range from people requiring general medical advice, emergency dental treatment or looking to arrange ambulance transport ahead of an appointment. The call handler gathers as much information as possible, where applicable, assess the call, and provide clear, correct advice that could potentially save a life, whilst remaining calm under pressure.

Handling a wide range of calls and thriving amid the challenges this presents, requires an outstanding amount of resilience and emotional strength as you will be supporting unwell and upset patients at their time of need. Your support will make a difference to lives and requires people who can be there for those that need it, sometimes in the face of adversity and trauma.

This is a highly pressurised environment where you may be in contact with people in extremely stressful situations; our callers can be upset, angry, anxious, or hysterical. People call the ambulance service for a variety of reasons, and you would need to be confident in dealing with a range of people in varying situations. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adapt to change quickly and must be aware of the stresses of the role and what impact this may have on you as an individual, considering these points carefully before applying.

Successful candidates will have to deliver correct care advice and guidance to callers’ dependent upon the reason for the call. Full training will be given to the successful candidates and an excellent career structure is available for future career progression. A full range of shifts will need to be covered, including bank holidays, public holidays, weekends and may include working nights. If your shift falls on a bank holiday, it will form part of your working hours. This includes the Easter and the festive period. Due to the nature of the hours only applicants over the age of 18 can apply for this role.

We are currently looking for both part time and full-time call handlers. Some examples start times are Monday to Friday from 16:00 hours and weekends from 08:00 hours. There is an expectation that candidates are flexible and available to accommodate working a number of set shifts per week including weekends.

Assessments Centres and interviews will take place in June 2024. Candidates will only be invited to one site and will receive one interview and assessment therefore please ensure you apply for the correct location in which you would like to be based. Assessments will need to be passed before the candidates can progress to interview.

Course Date - 5th August 2024

The course is run on a Full Time basis 37.5 hours per week up to 10 weeks from the given start date.Training consist's of classroom sessions for the first 6 weeks running Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00, followed by mentoring for the remaining 4 week’s in which your shift patterns will vary.

(No part time hours available, you must be able to commit to the full time training for the full 10 weeks as of the course start date, no leave is allowed during the training time)


It is a pre-requisite that candidates must successfully complete the training program, including all examinations.

This is full-time role on a permanent basis (37.5 hours per week) and is based at either Trust HQ at Ladybridge Hall, Bolton or Estuary Point, Speke.

This rewarding and challenging role is responsible for working with the Qualifications and Centre Manager to provide assurance of compliance with external standards eg Ofsted, ESFA etc, and also developing and maintaining data tracking, audit and control systems to contribute to effective internal monitoring and management of performance and compliance. You will be responsible for designing, scheduling and conducting thematic internal audits, analysing findings, taking corrective and preventative actions and reporting outcomes. You will manage and work with the Data and ILR Coordinators to ensure a robust system of learner enrolment and ongoing data management. You will maintain evidence of eligible apprenticeship delivery costs and expenditure of apprenticeship monies.

This role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual who pays particular attention to detail; you will have an excellent understanding of the ESFA funding rules and critical factors used within ESFA audits. You must be a team player, be able to prioritise and manage a workload within tight deadlines, be confident at liaising with stakeholders at all levels and have excellent analytical skills. You will possess high level skills in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
