JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
-OVERSEE DAY-TO-DAY FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS TO ENSURE EFFICIENCY AND ACCURACY.
-ENSURE TIMELY SUBMISSION OF MONTHLY AND YEARLY FINANCIAL REPORTS.
-REVIEWS ALL FINANCIAL PLANS AND COMPARE TO ACTUAL RESULTS WITH A VIEW TO IDENTIFY, EXPLAIN AND CORRECT VARIANCES AS APPROPRIATE.
-ADVISE MANAGEMENT ON PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS AND SUPPORT STRATEGIC INITIATIVES.
-PREPARE BUDGET AND QUARTERLY FORECASTS.
-PREPARE LOCAL FINANCIAL REPORTS AND TAX RETURNS, INCLUDING CORPORATE TAX AND GST FILINGS.
-CONDUCT ANNUAL FINANCIAL AUDITS WITH EXTERNAL AUDITORS.
-MONITORS AND ANALYZES CASH FLOWS. AND DEBT MANAGEMENT.
-ACTS AS A LIAISON WITH REGIONAL HEAD OFFICE, AUDITORS, TAX AGENTS, COMPANY SECRETARY AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES REGARDING FINANCE, LEGAL, INSURANCE, TAX OR ANY OTHER MATTERS.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-DEGREE IN FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION OR A RELATED FIELD.
-PROVEN 5-10 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, BUDGETING AND REPORTING.
-STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF FINANCIAL REGULATIONS AND ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES.
-EXCELLENT ORGANISATIONAL AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
-EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS.
-ABILITY TO MANAGE MULTIPLE TASKS AND PRIORITIES IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT.
