The successful applicant will study for a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice (L4). Applicants should have excellent communication skills, be flexible and be able to work under pressure. The ability to prioritise work and use own initiative is also important.

A minimum of 5 GCSE's grade C or above (4-9), or equivalent* and must include English language, Maths, Science.

The Cardiac Investigations Unit at St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight is a small but busy department, offering a range of invasive and non-invasive services to patients needing diagnostic investigations and treatment within our hospital and expanding to the new Community Diagnostic Centre.

The Trainee Apprentice Cardiac Physiologist role is an exciting opportunity for individuals to have a dedicated learning pathway in Cardiac Physiology. Learning skills such as 12 lead ECG’s, Ambulatory 24-hour ECG and BP analysis, Physiologist led Exercise Testing, Pacemaker and ILR implantation and follow up.

Alongside practical training at St Marys Hospital, the applicant will be completing a BSc in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) at Bristol University.

The successful candidate will be joining an established TTAD Service and will contribute to a stepped care model of service delivery for people experiencing anxiety disorders and depression. As part of the role you will attend the Post Graduate Certificate in PWP practice at the University of EXETER remotely as well as in person teaching sessions in London for a year.
