Accountancy Assistant
Full time – 37 hours per week (part time or flexible hours considered)

£24,702 – £26,421 (pay award pending)
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated person with good communication and numerical skills to join our hard-working and friendly team.The successful candidate will need to be available Monday to Friday to take responsibility for our bank reconciliation system however, we can be flexible on hours of work.
The main focus of your role will be to download and import bank statements to the council’s bank reconciliation system and ensure that all income and expenditure is allocated appropriately. You will also support the Senior Accountancy Assistant.Full training will be given but you need to be IT literate and have some experience of working in an administrative role.

About you
The ideal candidate will have;
- Good communication skills
- A willingness to work as part of a team
- A flexible approach combined with a positive attitude
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- An ability to confidently use Microsoft Office, Excel and similar IT software
- Experience of working in an admin role which includes some financial elements
- Previous experience of using Windows based packages is essential and any local government finance experience would be ideal.
