Responsibilities:

· Manage full set of accounts, including invoicing, receipt updates, vendor invoice processing, payment arrangements, journal entries, inter-company charges, bank reconciliation, balance sheet schedules, fixed assets registers, and general ledger maintenance.

· Manage month-end closing process and ensure all month-end journals, AP and AR sections are closed promptly.

· Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements for Management Reporting.

· Prepare and Review all Balance Sheet Schedule to its control accounts including bank reconciliations.

· Liaise with external/internal auditors as required.

What the Role Involves

1. Keep track of receiving Ocean Freight Forwarding Division., Supplier through email or by post.
2. Register Supplier invoice date and number before sending the invoices for verification and approval to PIC of Ocean Freight Forwarding Division.
3. Follow up with chaser emails for return of Supplier Invoices after deadline of submission by Ocean Freight Forwarding Division.
4. Check and post Supplier invoices into YUNAS
5. Prepare cheque/GIRO payment to Suppliers on monthly basis.
6. To reconcile Account Payable on monthly basis
7. To complete analysis of long outstanding Accrual Report
8. Back up PIC for daily payment request by Ocean Freight Forwarding Division to Co-loader to clear cargoes on behalf of Yusen Logistics Singapore

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Analyst will play a key role in the Finance team to deliver the full spectrum of professional finance, tax and compliance activities to Woh Hup (WH) Group of companies. This position offers the opportunity to gain a deep expertise within the finance & tax function with the ability to work with senior stakeholders including those in joint ventures, banks, and government bodies, and to lead and drive business optimization projects from the planning through to implementation.

Given the dynamic nature of the business, the below is a non-exhaustive list of deliveries expected from the candidate. However, it covers the foundation responsibilities and capabilities that are required for the candidate to be successful in this role.

• Governance and compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies. • Indirect Tax: Preparing and reviewing GST returns prior to submission to IRAS. Conducting GST health checks on GST returns. Reviewing and providing advice on GST compliance processes. Assist in tax audits and queries from tax authorities. Assist Deputy Finance Manager in relation to Transfer Pricing compliance including planning of comprehensive tax and transfer pricing strategies for local and regional portfolios.
• Change management and growth opportunities: Support and shadow the Deputy Finance Manager for transformation and growth projects, e.g. but not limited to new business new ventures/expansion, supporting through providing finance and tax advice and initiatives to adopt new tax legislations and controls, mitigate risks and project managing implementation of new systems and digital transformation.

Skills and Requirements

• A degree in Finance/ Accountancy or its equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience and expertise across the spectrum of Finance/Tax competences with solid foundation in tax reporting / compliance, financial accounting, operational accounting and reporting, and working knowledge of IT systems implementations. Finance professional qualification and SAP knowledge preferred.
• Confident in managing large and complex data sets in Excel and in a wider digital environment. Able to assess data, extract insights from financial and accounting software and navigate between different types of digital tools to produce results.
