The post holder will ensure a high-quality ER service is provided across the Trust. Responsible for championing best practice HR, influencing key business decisions to ensure the effective management and utilisation of staff to benefit our patients and service. This will include coaching, supporting, mentoring, training, and developing managers’ capability in HR policy and practice.

The Trust is wanting to recruit to an exciting senior clinical leadership role as part of its development of clinical and advanced practice.

The role will be accountable for the continued development of the advanced practitioner program as well as have overall leadership for the development and oversight of Clinical practice. You will part of a senior clinical team who will lead how EEAST delivers clinical care.

You will need to be educated to Masters level and have extensive knowledge and experience of ambulance service clinical delivery gained through either working as part of an ambulance trust or with close affiliated organisations. There will be a need to understand prehospital advanced practice as well as a deep knowledge of ambulance clinician practice at all clinical levels. You will ideally be an advanced practitioner and practicing at this level.

You will need to have experience of leading a team of clinical leaders and setting direction as well as holding people to account for delivery.

You will also need to have experience of leading clinical change as well as leading ambulance and other registered healthcare clinicians.

You will need to be able to work at a senior level and be able to influence direction as well as be able to set a clear strategy to how we can improve care delivery.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Clinical Director the Consultant Practitioner is responsible for ensuring effective senior clinical leadership and clinical excellence within the organisations delivery of urgent and emergency care. Working through leading Clinical Practice the role will ensure this agenda is embedded within each locality and across the organisation.

The Consultant Practitioner will have a specific regional wide area of responsibility (Advanced and Clinical Practice) and will lead a team to ensure the Trust is able to deliver its objectives in a timely fashion.

The University of Brighton Academies Trust is seeking a qualified, skilled and professional Safety and Compliance Manager to promote, develop and establish a positive safety culture within its professional services teams and academies to meet its legal requirements in terms of Health, Safety and Compliance. The postholder will take responsibility for operational matters relating to Health and Safety Planning and Management and contribute to the Estates & Facilities Management Strategic plan.

The post holder will report to the Director of Estates & Facilities Management and will be the primary point of contact for all Health, Safety and Compliance matters. The Estates & Facilities Management team are looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager who can confidently communicate with our stakeholders and lead on the delivery of building services to our academy partners.

We are recruiting a Senior Manager, to provide Data Governance leadership in line with TSBs multi-year Data Strategy Programme, focussed on maturing the bank’s Data Capabilities, transforming TSB into a truly Data-Driven organisation. - Strategic leadership, implementing a comprehensive data governance framework in alignment with TSB Data & Business Strategies and Regulatory expectations.

The Local Area Manager is a key role within the Directorate and will provide, effective leadership and direction to all staff and managers within a specified sector. The post holder will work with the Head of Clinical Operations to ensure the implementation, and future development, of EEAST’s Clinical/UEC strategy, focusing internally on Trust development.

The post holder will contribute to the service planning process of the Trust and will be involved in a number of key strategic and operational developments, including significant business change processes. They will be responsible to the Head of Clinical Operations, for the management of a defined geographical sector, aligned to one of six ICSs. In collaboration with the Sector Clinical Leads, and wider Medical/Clinical Directorate, ensure continuous evaluation of clinical activities, standards, and service development. EEAST employs over 5,000 staff with a further 1,000+ volunteers who between them cover 7,500 square miles and care for a population of more than 6 million.

Our three control rooms in Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Essex handle more than 1 million 999 calls every year, over 2,500 calls a day.

We manage a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles including double staffed ambulances, rapid response cars, operational commander response vehicles, patient transport and support service vehicles.

The East of England works alongside 17 Acute Trusts with Accident & Emergency services and a Major Trauma Centre in Cambridge. Access is available to neighbouring MTCs such as those in London.

Compensation Range

About This Job

This position supports the strategic direction of Integrations/Middleware Services by managing resources and scrum teams to assure the quality of strategic and high priority applications. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for the engagement and improvement of the whole lifecycle of services—from inception, through deployment, operation, and refinement.  The manager will also maintain stability by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.  The manager will scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.  They will strive to utilize technical skills to maintain optimal system efficiency, productivity, and reliability.  The manager will practice sustainable incident response.

Essential Functions

• Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs

• Develop deep expertise in applications and provide training and mentorship to others

• Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required

• Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant information to team members effectively

• Support budget management, planning and expenditure

• Participate in constructing and maintaining the digital roadmap

• Support the technology needs of multiple business units, ensuring the team provides timely and quality estimates, identifying and performing timely risk mitigation when necessary, and delivering high quality solutions on schedule

• Support services through activities such as system design consulting, integrating software and frameworks, automation creation, testing, capacity planning and implementation reviews.

• Build partnerships with business counterparts to provide the best products, services, and support possible for customers of the Bank

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• 3+ years full stack development experience within a Java environment required

• 2+ years information technology leadership experience required

• 4+ years experience in Agile implementation preferred

• Software development life cycle experience preferred

The Local Area Manager is a key role within the Directorate and will provide, effective leadership and direction to all staff and managers within a specified sector. The post holder will work with the Sector Manager to ensure the implementation, and future development, of EEAST’s Clinical/UEC strategy, focusing internally on Trust development.

The post holder will contribute to the service planning process of the Trust and will be involved in a number of key strategic and operational developments, including significant business change processes. They will be responsible to the Sector Manager, for the management of a defined geographical sector, aligned to one of six ICSs. This will require an ability to communicate clearly and concisely within the organisation and with external agents.


In collaboration with the Sector Clinical Leads, and wider Medical/Clinical Directorate, ensure continuous evaluation of clinical activities, standards, and service development. Assist and support the development of a culture of lifelong learning and research within operations, ensure the clinical quality agenda is continuously developed and evaluated at a local level through clinical audit and to be responsible for clinical performance in the designated sector.

EEAST employs over 5,000 staff with a further 1,000+ volunteers who between them cover 7,500 square miles and care for a population of more than 6 million.
