What you’ll be doing

The Senior Director, Head of Fixed Income Market Risk has the mandate to lead the groups responsible for the ‘second line of defense’ governing the following areas of oversight: Global Fixed Income Trading Risk, Interest Rate Derivatives, Bond Trading, Money Markets, and Structured Rates Trading. Additionally, the Senior Director, Head of Fixed Income Market Risk also has the mandate to mentor the Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) Reporting and Analytics team, which covers portfolio based reporting and analytical insights for the broader Capital Markets trading businesses.

You will actively partner with Capital Markets trading desks, other CMRM Risk colleagues, core strategic business units (SBUs) and other infrastructure groups to produce key reports and metrics for senior leadership and regulators to measure and validate CIBC’s trading book risks – including regulatory measures such as VaR/ES, Stress Testing and Capital, as well as non-regulatory measures such as scenario analysis, global portfolio analysis and profit and loss (P&L) attribution. What you’ll be doing

As Director, Investor Relations & Performance Measurement, you will be accountable for providing value-add financial and strategic analysis to support IR and Performance Measurement activities. Reporting to the AVP, Global Privacy, this role plays a pivotal role as they are responsible for leading and implementing a comprehensive privacy governance program.  The Senior Director, Global Privacy Program Governance & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for overseeing the privacy framework as well as policies, standards and procedure documents in addition to global privacy risk management reporting. You will lead, coordinate and implement regulatory change management requirements for the Global Privacy Program and trigger any global program updates as required. You will lead the RCM Privacy Program oversight activities for the Global Privacy Office; maintain a robust privacy training and awareness program and drive strategic and transformational initiatives to ensure privacy risk is managed effectively.

Who you are

Oversee governance and compliance functions/issues on behalf of the GM & DFS business, including - Ensure compliance with Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRAs) with respect to new initiatives; Support execution of new contracts and agreements with vendors and partners in collaboration with Corporate Services, Legal, and other internal stakeholders; Accountable to ensure the completion of all GM & DFS governance functions –User System Access, Contract Review, etc.; Oversight of the Business Continuity Management plans and milestones as Accountable Officer for GM & DFS; Support GM & DFS business management team, front office and internal partners in the implementation of new compliance and governance requirements; Management, oversight of audits and related follow-up items including coordinating and responding to auditor/regulator requests, findings and reports; Working with Capital Markets Governance & Control teams to ensure suitable and effective controls are in place and help manage and support the coordination of the deficiency management process across GM & DFS;

• Finance/MIS - Work with business, Business Managers and/or Finance Business Support to develop. Management and Board Presentations; Quarterly Operational Risk Dashboard and analysis; and other presentations.

• Cross-Functional Relationships - Strong interpersonal and communication skills allowing the incumbent to work alongside the business, including Head of GM & DFS, on a day-to-day basis; Establish and maintain effective relationships with partners in CIBC, including, Operations, Finance, Risk Management, Technology, Legal and Compliance and other corporate governance groups as required to help address and resolve day-to-day issues as well as deliver on business initiatives; and Maintain regular dialogue with regional business managers and their teams as required on global initiatives and issues.

Who You Are

• You possess knowledge of Financial Products (products and processes) with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in the Financial Services industry is an asset;

JOB PURPOSE 

Global Credit Financing (GCF) is a financing business focused on the origination, financing, and securitization activities of various debt based products for the Bank’s core clients. GCF is a product vertical under the Global Markets Financing and Resource Management Group (GMF-RMG) which manages the allocation, deployment, and optimization of financial resources such as capital and balance sheet on behalf of and across the Global Markets Division.

The successful candidate will help originate and structure U.S. residential mortgage financing and ultimately help execute residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) securitizations.  The role operates in a fast-paced trading floor environment. The incumbent’s mandate is to focus on activities that will help drive the growth of the GCF business in the US. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Major Activities:

• Preparing any necessary documentation and assisting in the process for internal deal review and approval.

• Responsible for helping with the growth of the desk’s strategy and efforts by developing and executing strategic plans to expand our product market-share and develop potential new products

• Initiate and manage the execution of structured transactions, evaluating and prioritizing transactions based on the rate of return on regulatory capital, probability of closing, ease of repeat transactions, and number of potential alternative applications.

• Monitor competitor activities, market conditions and report significant developments to relevant stakeholders

• Partner with internal and external clients to understand their objectives, identify and analyze the risks they face

• Work in tandem with structured marketers to identify specific client needs and opportunities and to build sector strategies.

• Improve CIBC’s ability to quickly respond to opportunities by developing transaction templates and seeking internal approvals for transactions, freeing marketers from labor-intensive product development responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing

As part of Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) group, the Senior Director, AML Business Effectiveness, oversees the end-to-end design, implementation, and ongoing sustainment of the Transaction Monitoring and screening strategies and programs applicable to lines of business in Canada, based on the risk and typologies defined by EAML. As the Senior Director, AML Business Effectiveness, you will be responsible for the effectiveness of the methods to monitor client transactions and screen clients and transactions against various watchlists (i.e., Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). You will be a key member of the EAML Leadership team and active contributor to EAML’s overall vision and strategy, the Senior Director will ensure CIBC effectively mitigates the ML/TF/Sanctions risks, regularly connects with Senior Director, VP and SVP level peers in the delivering of this mandate to shape the Transaction Monitoring and Screening strategies. You will lead the business for how clients and transactions will be monitored and screened, and ensure appropriate reporting on ongoing effectiveness to senior management. The Senior Director is accountable for providing leadership, direction and coaching to the AML Business Effectiveness team and the broader Enterprise AML team.

• Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners. Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience. 10+ years’ experience interpreting and implementing regulatory regimes, related to AML and/or ATF.  Experience providing advisory on compliance and risk management solutions for Capital Markets AML transaction monitoring, FINTRAC reporting, and name screening.  You have 5+ years of people leadership experience managing large teams.

• You can demonstrate knowledge. What you’ll be doing

As the Director, Data Loss Prevention Services, you will join CIBC’s Information Security department to deliver the enterprise DLP program. You will define, build and evolve CIBC’s DLP strategy, initiatives, projects, goals, frameworks and controls. Your individual contribution will be used in a leadership capacity with a multi-stakeholder environment across CIBC.

How you’ll succeed

• Data Loss Prevention for the Enterprise – Provide strategic thought leadership, building, maintaining and delivering on our bank’s DLP framework, vision and roadmaps for all channels. This includes leveraging CIBC proprietary and industry best-practices and standards. Execute and deliver on initiatives with agility and quality.

• Teamwork and Relationship building – Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Internal Audit, Risk Management, Control Testers, Legal and external regulatory departments. The role requires frequent managerial interaction with architecture, engineering, security operations, risk management, auditors, external consultants and executives.

• Strategy - Gain and nurture executive support for Data Loss Prevention initiatives through the creation of business cases, appraising senior and executive management and participating in strategy and roadmap development.

• Leadership - Provide overall leadership for Data Loss Prevention and provide reporting of insights to the executive team.

• Service Delivery and  Communication– Manage the health of DLP services, product backlogs, service rollout and continuous improvement. Effectively identify and assess DLP service risks, manage and communicate issues and steer complex situations towards resolution. Share regular reports and key insights with the executive team.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate knowledge and experience in broad range of information security domains, and/or specialization in Data Loss Prevention. You possess the ability to think strategically with a track record of stewardship in the management of technology cyber risk and governance practices. Past experience working for a large financial institution is preferred as-well-as any prior exposure to DLP cloud control implementations is required.You are a security thought leader. What You’ll Be Doing

As an Executive Assistant, you will manage the day-to-day administrative activities for the Commercial Banking (Prairies and Ontario) and Mid-Market Investment Banking teams. Responsibilities also include ongoing administrative management of the departments, providing support to the teams, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of services and assigned projects.

• Calendar Management - Maintain and monitor the executive’s calendar of scheduled appointments, upcoming events and matters requiring immediate attention. Coordinate agendas, and send meeting invitations and agendas to attendees, book meeting rooms and arrange for IT resources and refreshments in support of a smooth and efficient meeting facilitation.
• Travel Arrangement & Expense Reporting - Arrange travel arrangements and maintain travel expense account including expense submissions on behalf of the Executives. Arranges group travel as necessary. Monitor and track all department invoices and expenses including contracts; process expense reports/invoices and update financial reports when required.
• Professional Support - Prepare standard correspondence, minutes, reports and presentations frequently of a confidential, strategic and/or specialized nature ensuring completed material is produced in a timely manner. Assist with the preparation of presentations and management reporting. Coordinate leadership team meetings including sending out invites and agenda, keeping and sharing minutes and compiling presentation materials. Input client/deal data into Salesforce.
• Administrative Duties - Provide ongoing administrative support such as; assisting with onboarding/off boarding activities for new and departing employees which include processing requests for technology requirements, business cards, corporate cards, expense and travel profiles, etc. As required, put together decks for any team or annual events, under guidance of the executives and their directs. Act as delegate for executives and their directs, as required, for Workday transactions

Who you are

• You’re an experienced administrative professional. You have at least 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant in a highly professional, confidential and fast-paced environment.
• You’re a strong communicator. You have excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations, which usually requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
• You’re digitally proficient. You have strong command of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and are proficient with Salesforce, or similar database.
