You'll develop an understanding of the risks and controls within key end-to-end processes across the Group and learn how data flows all the way from product origination (e.g. a customer taking out a personal loan online) through to financial reporting of associated balances, income, costs and impairment and ultimately the disclosures in the Financial Statements in the Annual Report and Accounts.

Key to success in this role is the ability to plan your workload to meet team priorities, strong communication and influencing skills, a continuous improvement approach and proven capability in control identification and assessment.

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of independent assurance assessments, primarily Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) control design and operating effectiveness testing across a wide variety of processes and teams on behalf of the Divisional / Functional Business Partners.

• Planning, prioritisation and organisation of allocated testing to meet delivery deadlines

• Manipulation, analysis and interpretation of multiple data sources to reach testing conclusions, sharing insights identified.

• A passion for continuous improvement to help drive efficiencies & promote effective ways of working, including the use of agile testing tools.

• Curiosity to understand and, where appropriate, challenge the existing end-to-end controls to mitigate financial / prudential / regulatory / operational risk.

• Provide insightful information and guidance to Stakeholders to help mitigate risk and improve the control environment.

The Director of Estates Optimisation will be responsible for representing the Trust in relation to estates optimisation across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System (ICS), Integrated Care Board (ICB) and
the Health and Care Partnerships (HCPs). Accountable to the Trust executives, the post holder will operate as a member of the senior management team, responsible for creating, maintaining and executing an
evidence-based estates optimisation strategy and operating model and ensuring it aligns with the values and objectives of the Trust. Forging strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key to ensuring the sharing of best practice and learning and the post holder will act as an ambassador for the Trust at all times, promoting the Trust values, philosophy and objectives

The Director of Estates Optimisation is a critical leadership and professional role accountable for ensuring a property portfolio of around £66m is optimised to meet the Trust’s needs taking account of:
• Suitability of premises for both clinical activity and support services
• Cost of occupying, including relation to frequency and flexibility of use
• Accessibility for patients and access to patients

The postholder will be responsible for representing the Trust in relation to estates optimisation across the ICS and H&CPs. A major component of the role will be leading multi-disciplinary teams across the wider system to achieve national and local system objectives and visions. This will also include chairing the West Kent HCP Estates Steering Group and East Kent/Thanet Steering Group amongst other system meetings and projects.
