The purpose of the role is to oversee and undertake physical health checks and health promotion support to complex patients with severe and enduring mental health problems, (SMI) who are under the care of Brent Community mental health teams (CMHT); Inpatient services, Learning disability services (LD), Home treatment team (HTT), Older adults (OPHA) and Early intervention services (EIS). The postholder will supervise and support the teams to deliver high standards of physical care to patients with long term conditions in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice subject to local and Trust policies and to provide leadership to the nursing teams within the services. They will focus on supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health promotion and screening.

The post holder will lead on preparation and delivery of health promotion initiatives linking in with Trust resources, local business, and healthcare providers. The post holder will ensure that health promotion materials are up to date, available in various languages and easily accessible across the services. Based on the principles of co-production, the post holder will support the administration and facilitation of service user forums and feedback relating to physical health and health promotion initiatives
• Provide professional clinical leadership, working in collaboration with the appropriate multidisciplinary groups to meet the physical health needs of patients within community services.
• Provide specialist evidenced based knowledge and clinical skills to the staff and patients within the services to ensure that the physical health and well-being needs of individuals is met.
• Lead on the strategic development and delivery of health promotion and physical health care within CMHT, OPHA, HTT, EIS and Acute Inpatient Services.

This post is within Newham CAMHS which is a large and vibrant specialist child and adolescent mental health service with a reputation for innovation and flexibility in meeting the complex mental health support needs of Newham's children, young people and families. It is centrally located on one site in Plaistow, Newham, and provides an extensive and growing range of services including multi-disciplinary specialist teams such as the Emotional & Behavioural Teams, Adolescent Mental Health Team, Paediatric Liaison Team, Neurodevelopmental Team, Looked After Children Team and Social Care/Families First Team. There is a broad spectrum of disciplines (approximately 80 whole time equivalent clinical staff) and a long tradition of effective multidisciplinary and interagency working.

The CWP role is to provide support in the Triage and management of families waiting for treatment with our waiting list team E&B3 and also our Front Door Team with referrals. This will also involve delivery of both individual and group interventions for young people and parents under the supervision of a suitably qualified senior clinician. The applicant we be an experienced CWP who can supervise junior CWP staff and CWP trainees.

The CWP role is to provide support in the Triage and management of families waiting for treatment with our waiting list team E&B3 and also our Front Door Team with referrals. This will also involve delivery of both individual and group interventions for young people and parents under the supervision of a suitably qualified senior clinician. 1. Clinical Responsibilities

1.1. To provide screening and contribute to mental health assessments of clients referred to CAMHS. The assessment role requires the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.

1.2. To formulate and deliver, under supervision outcome focused, evidence-based individual & group interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties and their parents. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media.

1.3. To plan, develop and deliver programmes designed to support and compliment the work of CAMHS practitioners in order to support the emotional needs of young people as part of the overall CAMHS treatment plan.

1.4. Provide information and support to children, YP and their parents to access appropriate further help and resources if required. To support the development of evidence-based resources for families referred and attending the service.

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic Locum Specialist Surgeon with specialist interest in trauma surgery. This is a locum 12 month Specialist Orthopaedic post attracting 10 PAs.

Elective surgery is carried out at Wycombe Hospital. There is a dedicated ward for elective orthopaedics in addition to a day surgery unit. The trauma service is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The hospital has a designated Trauma Unit and provides acute surgical care to a population of 500,000. All trauma is centralised on the ‘hot site’ and this post will be working alongside a dedicated team of nurses, junior doctors, therapists and ortho-geriatricians to provide a first class, consultant led service. Two consultants manage the trauma service for a week rotating every 6 weeks, and this post will be working closely alongside a consultant colleague.

There is an excellent musculoskeletal radiology support with 24 hour CT scanning.

The Trust has the required arrangements in place to ensure that all surgeons have an annual appraisal with a trained appraiser and support surgeons going through the revalidation process. Further to this, the Trust offers a mentorship to all new consultants and the department would support the new consultant to identify an appropriate mentor.

We are looking to appoint 1 year fixed term Locum Consultant in Infectious Disease/Medical Microbiology at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire NHS Trust.

The post-holder will share in the provision of a first-class clinical microbiology service to the areas covered by the laboratory, along with the other Consultant Microbiologists: Dr Ruby Devi and Dr Karthiga Sithamparanathan.

The Department also has an ST3 Microbiology/Infectious Diseases trainee from the Oxford Thames Valley deanery rotation working Mon-Fri 9-5pm.

You will participate in a 1 in 4 weekly on call-rota with prospective cover. Category A on call supplement applies. Please note these posts are 10 PAs for each with a potential for 1 additional PA per post for lead infection prevention control doctor or antimicrobial stewardship lead.

On call is undertaken from home with remote access to the usual suite of applications, namely Winpath – the laboratory IT application for reviewing and authorising microbiology results.

The post is covered by the Terms and Conditions of the new Consultant Contract (England 2003).

The Trust requires the successful candidate to have and maintain full and specialist registration with a current licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC) and to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of a doctor as set down by the GMC.

The successful candidate will be required to live within 10 miles of ‘principal place of work’ at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, or 30 minutes travelling time when on call.

The appointee will be expected to cover for colleagues’ absence from duty on the basis of agreed arrangements in the department and with the employing Trust.

You will be one of 4 consultants working in a rota to provide clinical support to all hospital sites and local GPs. Clinical practice and liaison
• Provision of a comprehensive infection service.
