The Corporate Governance Manager, reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Governance, provides comprehensive, high quality professional management on a wide range of Governor and Committee governance tasks. The post holder will deputise for the Deputy Company Secretary during periods of absence.

The Corporate Governance Manager will:
• Co-ordinate the work between the Board of Directors to ensure joined up and integrated development events.
• Ensure the various Committee governance cycles are up-to-date and are complied with.
• Draft the agendas for various Committees for agreement with the relevant Committee Chairs and where necessary, Company Secretary/Deputy Company Secretary and make the call for papers.
• Ensure the requirements are met in relation to the Trust's Constitution for the notification of public Board meetings.
• Ensure the arrangements for meetings and the scheduling and distribution of agendas and papers for various Committees complies with the Trust's Constitution (including quorum) and governance cycles.
• Co-ordinate the preparation of papers and quality controlling them to ensure that they meet the required standard.
• Ensure the accurate recording and minute taking of various Committees and that minutes are produced in a timely manner and action lists are up to date.
• Advise on conduct of meetings with respect to Terms of Reference and the Trust's Constitution.
• Assist in retaining the Trust's corporate seal and a register of its applications in accordance with statutory requirements regarding security and use of the seal.
• Liaise with the Company Secretary in the induction and training of new Board members as they are appointed or elected.

We have two main hubs in Bournemouth and in Weymouth and hold clinics at other outstations across the county. This role would predominantly be based at our Bournemouth site.

Working as part of the Senior Adult Audiology Team within the Dorset Audiology Department, managing change, and supporting service development. Clinical responsibilities include running complex adult hearing pathways and undertaking vestibular diagnostic testing as part of the Balance Team. Running Audiology Led ENT Clinics as part of clinical and managerial responsibilities. This would include onwards referral for imaging.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual wishing to develop their management and clinical skill as part of a growing service actively working towards UKAS IQIPS accreditation. An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join the Microbiology department at University Hospitals Dorset.

The Microbiology laboratory is well-equipped, fully computerised, holds UKAS accreditation and is approved for training. We currently offer diagnostic microbiology to The Royal Bournemouth Hospital and general practice. The laboratory routinely handles in excess of 150,000 specimens per year and alongside this is supporting COVID testing.

The successful candidate will be part of the microbiology team providing a diagnostic medical microbiology service contributing to the clinical care of patients and control of infectious diseases within the hospital and community, by providing support to the Biomedical Scientists and other staff. As such this post will be a varied and interesting role that will require an adaptable and flexible working ethic. All training will be provided to the candidate who will then backfill for staff leave between the sections.

This is an exciting time to join the pathology team in Dorset as we are in the process of reconfiguring the services across the county including the construction of a new pathology hub laboratory at the Bournemouth site.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, which includes participation in a weekend rota.

We are looking to appoint Specialty Doctors in Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Dorset to work at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site, just a stone’s throw from the glorious blue flag beaches of Bournemouth and Poole (we know we're biased).

The Emergency Medicine team at UHD have a significant amount of experience and expertise in supporting doctors through the CESR programme, many of whom who now work as substantive consultants at both sites. We are currently run a CESR programme which includes a bespoke professional development plan tailored to meeting the needs of the individual doctor including availability of placements in Critical Care, Anaesthetics, Acute medicine and Paediatrics, as well as mentor support from a consultant that has previously attained CESR. There is the option for successful candidates to participate in this programme if desired.

Recently Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals have undergone merger into UHD,

At present there is an Emergency Department at both Poole and Bournemouth sites, with RBH being the designated site for PCI and stroke thrombolysis, and Poole being the designated Major Trauma Unit as well as in patient paediatric services.

This is all set to change at the end of 2024 when the Trauma Unit status moves across to Bournemouth and the ED will move into a new state of the art department in the Beach Building, alongside Paediatrics, Critical Care and Maternity.



To provide high quality emergency care, being competent in the normal range of emergency medical conditions and injuries.

Direct clinical care will consist of scheduled shifts for the routine assessment and treatment of patients that present to the Emergency Department.

Take part in the middle tier rota, covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

The successful candidate will join the existing Emergency Department team at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital supporting the Middle Grade tier.

• Responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination, delivery and deployment of inventory management services.
• Ideally have experience of working within a purchasing, supply chain or inventory management environment or able to demonstrate transferable skills.
• Good level of keyboard skills and MS applications.

Main Duties of the Job:
• Ordering, receipting, verifying and unpacking of products/goods.
• Issuing and distributing products/goods to internal areas to support patient care.
• Analysing supply chain data to ensure uninterrupted availability of stock.
• Reviewing supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock

• Strong commercial acumen with an appetite to improve processes and be a self-starter.
• Previous engagement with third party funders, including Private Equity experience will be considered extremely beneficial. Having completed a fruitful shareholder exit/transaction for a business previously is desirable.
• The role is best suited to someone with some experience of working within a mixture of SME and corporate background, with experience related to Software as a Service, ICT, IT, B2B industries.
