The Corporate Governance Manager, reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Governance, provides comprehensive, high quality professional management on a wide range of Governor and Committee governance tasks. The post holder will deputise for the Deputy Company Secretary during periods of absence.

The Corporate Governance Manager will:
• Co-ordinate the work between the Board of Directors to ensure joined up and integrated development events.
• Ensure the various Committee governance cycles are up-to-date and are complied with.
• Draft the agendas for various Committees for agreement with the relevant Committee Chairs and where necessary, Company Secretary/Deputy Company Secretary and make the call for papers.
• Ensure the requirements are met in relation to the Trust's Constitution for the notification of public Board meetings.
• Ensure the arrangements for meetings and the scheduling and distribution of agendas and papers for various Committees complies with the Trust's Constitution (including quorum) and governance cycles.
• Co-ordinate the preparation of papers and quality controlling them to ensure that they meet the required standard.
• Ensure the accurate recording and minute taking of various Committees and that minutes are produced in a timely manner and action lists are up to date.
• Advise on conduct of meetings with respect to Terms of Reference and the Trust's Constitution.
• Assist in retaining the Trust's corporate seal and a register of its applications in accordance with statutory requirements regarding security and use of the seal.
• Liaise with the Company Secretary in the induction and training of new Board members as they are appointed or elected.

We have two main hubs in Bournemouth and in Weymouth and hold clinics at other outstations across the county. This role would predominantly be based at our Bournemouth site.

Working as part of the Senior Adult Audiology Team within the Dorset Audiology Department, managing change, and supporting service development. Clinical responsibilities include running complex adult hearing pathways and undertaking vestibular diagnostic testing as part of the Balance Team. Running Audiology Led ENT Clinics as part of clinical and managerial responsibilities. This would include onwards referral for imaging.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual wishing to develop their management and clinical skill as part of a growing service actively working towards UKAS IQIPS accreditation. Working with the Head of Service, Clinical Leads and wider Senior Management team to facilitate quality improvement, manage aspects of the service and line manage colleagues.

You will be enthusiastic about service improvement and quality assurance, well-motivated and flexible and will provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for our adult and paediatric patients. Good communication and project management skills are essential, together with the skills to provide excellent patient care and make clinical decisions, BSc Hons Audiology / MSc with CCC in Audiology, or equivalent qualifications required. Higher training such as CAC /STP/ or HTS would be desirable, especially in vestibular diagnostic testing. The candidate would need experience of running autonomous vestibular assessment clinics.

An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join the Microbiology department at University Hospitals Dorset.

The Microbiology laboratory is well-equipped, fully computerised, holds UKAS accreditation and is approved for training. We currently offer diagnostic microbiology to The Royal Bournemouth Hospital and general practice. The laboratory routinely handles in excess of 150,000 specimens per year and alongside this is supporting COVID testing.

The successful candidate will be part of the microbiology team providing a diagnostic medical microbiology service contributing to the clinical care of patients and control of infectious diseases within the hospital and community, by providing support to the Biomedical Scientists and other staff. As such this post will be a varied and interesting role that will require an adaptable and flexible working ethic. You would undertake academic training, provided, and accredited by University of Exeter. Time would be split between University study and on-job training. The on-job training would include learning about CBT-based self-management for clients suffering from mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression, using a stepped-care approach. All trainees will receive intensive supervision and support in their workplace as an integral element of their training. The post is a full-time position, part time applications cannot be considered due to University commitments.

We are currently looking to recruit a full time Assistant Psychologist to work across the Locality Adult Mental Health teams in Rotherham and into the Psychological Therapy Hub. A significant focus of the role is to be involved in the delivery of therapeutic groups, mainly those for Trauma Stabilisation and Emotional Coping Skills. In addition to these groups, we have an extensive programme where we also deliver groups for anxiety, mood disorders (using Acceptance and Commitment therapy), Compassion Focused Therapy and coping with voices. The role would also involve working with individuals to deliver one to one interventions aimed at stabilisation and coping skills with those individuals where a group setting would not be appropriate. There would also be opportunities to be involved in service evaluation and research projects within our teams. We have a committed and enthusiastic team of people working into these pathways and we are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, organised and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to be part of this team to meet the needs of service users.

In Rotherham we have a growing team of supportive, compassionate and value-driven Psychological Professions who are passionate about providing high quality clinical care to service users and influencing the wider delivery of care through the support of the locality teams.

The post holder will have experience of working within Adult Mental Health services and ideally in delivering groups and will be eligible for graduate membership of the BPS. They will have knowledge and an understanding of complex mental health difficulties and of the challenges faced by people with mental health problems, particularly those with experiences of trauma and where they may have difficulties in interpersonal relationships.

We are looking to appoint Specialty Doctors in Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Dorset to work at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site, just a stone’s throw from the glorious blue flag beaches of Bournemouth and Poole (we know we're biased).

The Emergency Medicine team at UHD have a significant amount of experience and expertise in supporting doctors through the CESR programme, many of whom who now work as substantive consultants at both sites. We are currently run a CESR programme which includes a bespoke professional development plan tailored to meeting the needs of the individual doctor including availability of placements in Critical Care, Anaesthetics, Acute medicine and Paediatrics, as well as mentor support from a consultant that has previously attained CESR. There is the option for successful candidates to participate in this programme if desired.

Recently Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals have undergone merger into UHD,

At present there is an Emergency Department at both Poole and Bournemouth sites, with RBH being the designated site for PCI and stroke thrombolysis, and Poole being the designated Major Trauma Unit as well as in patient paediatric services.

This is all set to change at the end of 2024 when the Trauma Unit status moves across to Bournemouth and the ED will move into a new state of the art department in the Beach Building, alongside Paediatrics, Critical Care and Maternity.



To provide high quality emergency care, being competent in the normal range of emergency medical conditions and injuries.

Direct clinical care will consist of scheduled shifts for the routine assessment and treatment of patients that present to the Emergency Department.

Take part in the middle tier rota, covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

Undertake professional development and participate in audit, ensuring all clinical governance areas are met.

The successful candidate will join the existing Emergency Department team at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital supporting the Middle Grade tier.

Responsibilities will include assisting the team in providing 24 hour emergency care to the population of Dorset. The candidate will be someone who is committed to Emergency Medicine and has a desire to work in a fast-paced and stimulating environment. The successful candidate will be supported by a team of 15 Consultants.

An opportunity has arisen within the Medical Care Group for a Deputy General Manager of Acute Medicine and Older People's services.

We are a large and innovative directorate, delivering same day emergency care, key assessment units, inpatient wards, and care in the community.

The postholder will be expected to work flexibly with the other Deputy General Manager for Acute Medicine and Older People's services, as determined by business need.
