The primary objective of the role is to lead large scale, complex transformation projects across the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust organisation and the wider health and social care system.

This will include designing and delivering projects in accordance with ESNEFT and wider system and alliance strategies in addition to providing direct support to the Senior Transformation Lead, Deputy Head and Heads of Transformation as required.

You will:
• Lead delivery of specific transformation projects across primarily Urgent & Emergency Care and Community Services, in accordance with ESNEFT organisational and wider system alliance strategies, business plans and CIP programmes.
• Support the Senior Transformation Lead in Urgent & Emergency Care for ESNEFT, to ensure that the Transformation projects are planned and managed effectively, ensuring safe and seamless integration with other existing processes and services.

• Responsible for planning and advising on the co-production and implementation of new care pathways to achieve step changes in quality and patient experience. • To deliver formal and informal presentations as needed, providing regular updates on progress, articulating various levels of technical business process information and narrative, to diverse groups e.g. Service Managers, Project Boards, Medical Staff Committee, Strategy and Governance Groups to inform and persuade stakeholders and decision makers about proposed service and business process changes including structured explanations of potentially contentious information in a palatable format
• To matrix manage project teams of different professional groups, accounting for and considering their views and opinions to ensure consensus is reached to enable the implementation of new initiatives, pathways and processes.

We are inviting applications for a full-time substantive post in the ESNEFT infection service, suitable for candidate on the specialist register with a qualification in Medical Microbiology, consultants dual accredited in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases or Consultant Clinical Scientists who have completed a training programme in Medical Microbiology.

For medical consultants qualifications required are FRCPath(UK) or equivalent, full GMC registration, and inclusion on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in Medical Microbiology or Microbiology/Infectious Diseases and within six months of CCT or its equivalent at interview date.

This is a whole time post consisting of 11.5 Programmed Activities (or equivalent for Consultant Clinical Scientist) which can include on-call commitments. This post attracts 8 are for direct clinical care (DCC), 2 supporting professional activity (SPA), and an additional 1.5 PA is paid for the out-of-hours on-call commitment (1:5) attracting at the highest frequency rate.

The team work closely together and all have infection control responsibilities as part of normal clinical responsibilities.

Specialist roles such as Infection Control Leads and Antimicrobial Stewardship leads are expected to be rotated around clinical colleagues under agreement and will be factored into DCC for the purpose of job planning.

Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the department/hospital in consultation with clinical colleagues. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated psychology graduate to work as an Assistant Psychologist (band 4) in adult community psychological services across North East Essex. The post will be based across the North East Essex specialist community mental health teams (Colchester and Tendring). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of dynamic and dedicated services and to gain experience of Applied Psychology in the NHS. The contract is 5 month fixed term.

The role center's on supporting qualified staff in the running of adult community psychological services. The post has been developed to promote the psychological health and wellbeing of people waiting for a psychological intervention to start. Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Older Peoples Services at Colchester Hospital and Clacton Hospital. This is a 1 year fixed term post in the first instance with the view to make permanent after a year. The appointee will join 5 other consultants in elderly medicine who provide a comprehensive service for residents of Northeast Essex as part of ESNEFT.

It is expected that the new appointee will participate in the development of the Frailty service for elderly patients in Northeast Essex. Other subspecialty interests are also welcome. The key elements of the role include inpatient care, frailty work, on call acute care as well as teaching and training junior medical staff.

Our frailty service is provided by “community at the front door”, in reaching to the emergency department. The Frailty service is predominantly outpatient based service for provision of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment of frail elderly patient.. The Frailty Service is staffed by a nurse consultant, middle grade Dr, GP trainee, nurse practitioners, senior nurse, Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist and healthcare assistant.

The post-holder will:
• Work with colleagues to provide a Consultant-led service with the highest standard of care;
• Work with the multi-professional team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines;

Clinical
• Take part in the acute medical intake working. Provide on-going medical supervision for those patients admitted under his/her care following the acute take. There are four Older Peoples Services wards (excluding the stroke ward, orthogeriatrics and EAU); A ward-based system for junior doctors and patients currently operates so patients admitted under one consultant are often transferred to the care of another once they move off EAU and onto another ward. An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a full time Administration Assistant working Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm. The base will be Thurrock Hospital, but the role will involve covering our various receptions and services on a regular basis. The areas we cover are Thurrock, Basildon, Brentwood and Billericay, so you will be required to travel to other bases on a weekly basis and sometimes be advised at short notice where your base for that day will be.

We are looking for someone with the ability and confidence to use their own initiative and prioritise tasks. The post holder must possess excellent communication skills and relevant administrative experience, must be flexible and have attention to detail.

We are looking for someone with a positive and compassionate approach to supporting patient care. The role will involve face to face contact and telephone calls with our patients and due to the nature of the services we carry out administrative support for, these can sometimes be distressing.

• When based on reception the role will involve you dealing with patients, visitors and staff. You will also be completing varied admin tasks to support our clinical colleagues and ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely, efficient manner. Some of the duties of this role are minute taking, formatting letters, booking appointments and inputting data onto the systems we use. You will need to be computer literate and competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be given full training on the systems we use.
• You will be required to handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls to the multi-disciplinary clinical staff in a polite and efficient manner, receive and deal with telephone enquiries and respond appropriately to callers, including high risk and vulnerable patients and carers.
• You will also need to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
• You will need to record accurate messages and follow them up in accordance with department guidelines.
• You will deal face to face with patients and families seeking further help/information and need to be aware of the needs of the patients.
• You will exchange confidential and/or sensitive information, where appropriate, between staff, patients, and carers in person or on the telephone. The unpredictability of patients means that reassuring and empathetic skills are required at all times.
