We are recruiting for a Fixed term 12 month or secondment 12 months Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work within children's community Speech and Language Therapy in Knowsley Service.

The successful applicant will provide high quality consultation, specialist assessment and intervention of speech, language and communication needs including provision of dysphagia.

They will support the development of the Speech and Language Therapy service and strive for continuous improvement.

To take a lead on and provide evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy assessment, treatment and intervention to service users who have complex needs.

This role will be integrated in the therapy team and will work with the team to develop person centred care.

We value CPD and carry out robust clinical supervision and appraisals to encourage therapists’ specialist interests and innovation. The team is led by a team manager and we have excellent AHP support within Mersey Care leadership.



Clinically, the post holder will complete specialist assessment of children with Speech, language and communication difficulties, supporting differential diagnosis where appropriate. They will provide relevant therapeutic intervention and support and provide Speech and Language Therapy care plans and reports as required. They will provide advice, consultation and training to staff working with the client group across a range of agencies and settings where appropriate.

There will be some Line Management responsibility for team as well as support to manage and prioritise caseloads within the team.

The post holder will supervise other speech and language therapists and therapy assistants in the team. They will contribute to the pre and post qualification teaching of speech and language therapy.

To provide clinical leadership and training to the wider staff team with regards to speech, language and communication.

To provide strategic leadership to within the Service in the development of the things such as the clinical model.

To support the development of effective outcome measures both for SLT and the wider team to build on the existing evidence base.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

29. Be responsible for own continuing professional development and maintaining own professional registration and meet HPC registration requirements, maintain a professional portfolio and demonstrating evidence of reflective practice.
30. Use highly developed skills to convey complex and sensitive clinical information, using a high level of persuasive and motivational skill to enable others to follow swallowing/therapy plans. Communicate clinical formulations and interventions to service users and carers in an understandable manner based on a person-centred approach, which inspires hope to the service user and carer.

An exiting opportunity has arisen within the Mental Health Care Division as we are looking to recruit a team of three Senior Clinical Nurse's within the Inpatient Service Line. We are looking for a number of Charge Nurses who can demonstrate strong leadership, compassion and empathy to our patients, improving the quality of care and service delivery within a Secure Mental Health and Learning Disability inpatient environment.

Secure Care Division is responsible for specialised secure mental health and learning disability services, in low, medium and high secure settings.

Working across the Secure Care Division as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high standards of care and treatment to a challenging group of service users.

Along with your registered nurse qualification, you will need to have at demonstrable experience post preceptorship and demonstrate enthusiasm in your attitude, willingness to work as a team by being flexible and supportive of the wider service.

This vacancy is for a Charge Nurse and within the Secure Care Division, as we are a mobile Trust you may be expected to work at any of our sites across the division. Allocations will be determined by the service, R&R will reflect the amount for that clinical area.

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility will be for the smooth running of the sales ledger ensuring all customer/commissioner invoices are processed and settled in a timely manner.

Principal Accountabilities

-Setting up and maintaining sales ledger accounts on to the Finance System
-Efficient and effective processing of customer/commissioner invoices, ensuring the amounts invoiced are correct and maximise the income to AFG.

We are recruiting High intensity therapists to join our Talking Therapies (IAPT) service. Specifically, we are looking for those with a CBT qualification enabling them to practice in Talking Therapies services, and must hold accreditation with the BABCP.

This is an exciting time to join our services; we are growing as a team so that we are able to reach more people across the town and engage them in therapeutic support.

High intensity therapists equip people with the tools and techniques they need to overcome complex problems related to anxiety and depression.

You’ll make a difference to people's quality of life by providing a range of evidence-based interventions. You’ll be based in an NHS Talking Therapies service (formerly IAPT), working with those aged 16+ from a variety of backgrounds.

You’ll work with people with depression and anxiety disorders, such as obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The service offers a hybrid approach to working. This means therapy sessions will take place both face to face (either in person or remotely via video platforms) and via telephone where clinically appropriate.

Your role will be to assess a service user’s suitability for evidence-based psychological interventions, formulating and implementing treatment and evaluating progress. Once treatment begins, you’ll meet with service users regularly, usually weekly, to measure and review progress and tailor treatment accordingly. A clinical supervisor will support you in your work to help you engage in self-reflection, seek and respond to feedback, and develop your professional knowledge and skills.

You'll have undertaken formal training in the therapy or therapies that you deliver in NHS Talking Therapies, and will be accredited by the relevant professional body (BABCP for CBT therapists).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES

Clinical
1. Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.
2. Assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions.
3. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent, as necessary.
4. Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients.
5. Use highly developed communication skills in working with people to understand their personal and often very sensitive difficulties.
6. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of clients in line with the service.
7. Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT and other psychological formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language.
8. Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.
9. Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate.
10. Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service.
11. Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.

20. Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating, professional and accrediting bodies (e.g., BABCP, BACP), and keep up to date on new recommendations/ guidelines set by the Department of Health (e.g., NHS plan, National Service Framework, National Institute for Clinical Excellence).
21. Ensure that client confidentiality is protected at all times.

30. Promote and maintain links with Primary Care and Secondary Care Staff to help co-ordinate the provision of an effective Psychological Therapies Service.

General
31. To contribute to the development of best practice within the service.

Responsibilities
To support the class teacher in order to ensure the delivery of a high-quality education for all students
To provide relevant and appropriate support to students, on an individual or group basis, in order to enable them to access the curriculum as independently as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Children's and Young Peoples Intensive Support Function Team for an experienced/skilled and passionate Clinical Team Manager.

We are looking to recruit a Clinical Team Manager to lead, manage and support the team in providing high quality care to children, young people and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the service development of the intensive support function team, and the post holder will work closely in the Children, Young People and Families (CYP) leadership team as we introduce the service across Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington.

This post is subject to an enhanced with children’s and adult’s barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

The intensive support function team will provide a designated resource to reduce/manage behaviours that challenge, working with the child/young person in their own residence, reducing/preventing the need for the use of restrictive practices, inpatient services, and out-of-area/residential placements. The intensive support function team works within a Positive Behavioural Support and Trauma-Informed Framework. This service will work across Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington.

Delivery of ISF input is throughfour core functions of support,in collaboration with the lead clinician/care coordinator from existing CYP service provision:
1. Assessment, treatment and support for individuals who display behaviour that challenges
2. Provision of support, and person specific training for other agencies supporting those individuals
3. Supporting transitions from inpatient and other settings
4. Crisis response

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to join the Intensive Support Function Team (ISF Team). This service will cover St Helens, Knowsley, Warrington and Halton Mid Mersey region.

The ISF Team is being implemented to help to improve the experience and outcomes for identified children and young people (CYP) on the Dynamic Support Databases (DSD) within the Mid Mersey region. The DSD is held by the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and is made up of CYP with a learning disability, autism or both who are at risk of an inpatient admission. This team willprovide a designated resource to reduce / manage ‘behaviours that challenge’ in the community to keep CYP in the community with their families, reduce crisis and reduce admissions to acute settings and Tier 4 beds.

The successful applicant will be strong team player with a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills. They will be well organised and have the ability to work to competing deadlines and priorities. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, have the ability to establish good working relationships and deal with a wide range of professionals via telephone, written and face to face contact.

GENERAL
