Claims Handler - Vehicle Repair

Hours: 37.5 Hour per week. Monday- Friday 9am-5:30pm. This is a Hybrid position and you will be required to be in our Leicester office 1 day per week after your training.

To be responsible for the service delivery and leadership of the Substance Misuse Team within the Prison.

To be responsible for the day to day organisation and smooth running of the multi-disciplinary team providing a service to a diverse caseload of patients who are presenting with substance misuse problems, detoxification requirements, including the administration of medicines

To lead and coordinate a team of healthcare professionals in the delivery of effective clinical and psycho-social management of patients who have a wide range of health issues.

Consultant Psychiatrist – General Adult Psychiatry, Lancaster and Morecambe (10 PAs)

We are seeking to recruit a substantive Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to work with the Home Based Treatment Team (HBTT) in Lancaster and Morecambe. The post is full time and based at East Barn, Lancaster.

There will be an expectation to join the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is payable.

Home Based Treatment Teams (HBTTs) are a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals providing a 24 hour, 7 day per week service to people experiencing a Mental Health (MH) crisis. HBTTs provide an alternative to hospital admission by providing intensive community based interventions. Where a hospital admission does occur, HBTT can assist in shortening the inpatient stay by facilitating early discharge and support back to the community. The consultant psychiatrist is expected to carry a compact caseload of the most complex and unstable cases, but will also be available at short notice to provide consultation and advice to other team members, although they are not required to act as care co-ordinator.

Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.

It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.

• At least 2.5 SPAs as standard for a full time post (we would be flexible in looking at enhancements to support other activities that support the wider ambitions of the Trust).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Qualified Band 6 Mental health practitioner to join The Bay Frequent Attenders Service. This post will cover The Bay locality which will include Lancaster & Morecambe and South Cumbria areas.


Service users within the “Frequent Attender Programme” are high intensity/complex individuals with multiple issues and needs. They can be frequent attenders within the Emergency Department or high users of Section 136, they may also frequently utilise emergency services such as the police or ambulances. Many people will also be receiving care from Home Treatment Team or CMHT.


We need staff who are highly motivated and proactive and who are able to work assertively and empathically with people within the locality to encourage their engagement with multi agency services and support them within their recovery. This will involve working collaboratively with other agencies to aid engagement to meet the needs of the service user.
The B6 MHP’s will provide a comprehensive assessment and develop collaborative care plans with Service Users and other agencies and where necessary signpost to other services within the community. For those Service Users that are already known to Mental health services you will work collaboratively with the Care Coordinator to develop a robust plan of care that Multi agencies are involved with to support the person and prevent crisis.

• You will be a member of a team who provides comprehensive assessment, co-ordination and the delivery of a high quality mental health service for service users identified as a high user of services within the Urgent care pathway.

• You will help to co-ordinate the care of the service users, and assist in promoting the use of evidence-based practice through the provision of clinical advice and support; acting as a role model; and providing education and training where appropriate.

• You will be expected to have a sound understanding of the client group you will be working with, and be able to demonstrate a wide range of skill base examples and knowledge.

• You will need to be fully conversant with statutory and non-statutory services in Lancashire Care, and promote effective liaison, working relationships and operational links as appropriate.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
