The Trauma Orthopaedic service is looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Assistant on Ward 12 at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the registered nursing team in providing direct high quality patient care. You will work under the supervision of the Ward Sister and in partnership with the registered nursing team.

The hours of work will include 24/7 internal rotation through days and nights.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills in orthopaedic nursing. A willingness to become link nurses in specific areas of patient care e.g. Dementia, Nutrition, Infection Prevention is essential.

The Department of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery sits within the Digestive Diseases Care Group. The Department of Upper GI is supported by nine consultants, and its activities are spread between Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary, within the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Working to support the delivery of the elective surgery service, Upper GI Surgery has a dedicated elective surgical ward at Castle Hill Hospital. The role is fixed term for 6 months in the first instance.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated radiographers to join our team in a rotational role in he Cardiac Catheter Labs at Castle Hill Hospital and Interventional Radiology (IRT) at Hull Royal Infirmary.

As we are a regional centre for many interventions, you would gain experience in a wide range of procedures; including cardiac procedures EP, Complex Devices, complex PCI and TAVI. vascular procedures, including EVAR; neuro interventional procedures (involving complex intervention and acute thrombectomy for stroke);

There will be out of hours work and an on call rota in both the cardiac cath labs and IRT that applicants must be willing to take part in. You must be available within 30 minutes when on call.

The normal working hours at present are Monday-Friday with a 24/7 on-call service, however, we are planning on having a 7-day service at both sites in the future.
As a Band 6 Radiographer you’ll join a remarkable team for a fulfilling career that’s committed to great care working closely with patients.

There are fourrecently refurbishedcardiac cath labs at Castle Hill Hospital situated on the outskirtsof Hull, approximately 5 miles away. Castle Hill is the regional cardio-thoracic and oncology centre.

There are three interventional radiology theatres at Hull Royal Infirmary, situated near the city centre, 1 Neuro and 2 Vascular labs. There will be a 4th room for emergency patients opening June 2025.



Minimum requirements are BSc or DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography and ideally but not essential, some experience in cardiac procedures/interventional radiology. CPD and flexible working are actively supported, including an on-call commitment and Professional Development reviews are undertaken using E-PDR. In return, you will receive all the advice, training and support you need to go far. The department is committed to the continuing education of our Radiographers. CPD is actively encouraged and supported with the Radiology department running a number of educational events throughout the year.

This is a new post to meet the current and growing demand in Paediatric Radiology services. The appointee will add to a team of 4 whole and part time paediatric radiologists providing the full spectrum of diagnostic and a growing interventional procedure portfolio.

The paediatric radiology team encourage flexible and cooperative working, with an extended team of other allied professionals and excellent relationships with colleagues in radiology, surgery, paediatrics and neonatology to maintain and develop the service for children.

The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a single
procurement function which will help support the sustainable provision
of clinical and non-clinical services.

A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.

Working as a Supply Chain Operative at Hull University Teaching Hospitals across both Trust sites to coordinate the provision of a range of procurement services, contributing to the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stock throughout the Trust.
