Our client, The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI), is a not-for-profit organisation operating across Australia. TACSI brings people, communities, and organisations together to collectively tackle our toughest social challenges and build the futures Australians want to see.
Your new role
TACSI is currently seeking to appoint a Finance and Operations Manager on a 2-year-fixed contract, to coordinate their day-to-day finance and business operations supporting their strategy and mission. This pivotal role collaborates closely with business leaders and team members across the Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney offices and acts as a conduit to our external finance team and ICT providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide proactive strategic business management support and oversight.
Coordinate and lead the day-to-day finance and operations of the organisation, including hands-on service and support to key operational staff and leaders.
Lead the end of month process, engaging with our external finance function, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
Actively surface and respond to TACSI's key risks and compliance obligations.
Support the ongoing improvement of operations including finance processes, technology systems, ICT management, office management and WHS.
Champion and actively contribute to an organisational culture that is flexible, inclusive and supports the organisation's ambition.
What you'll need to succeed
An ability to manage multiple complex and competing priorities and an eye for both detail and the big picture.
Possess financial acumen with solid accounting knowledge in accrual accounting, revenue recognition and the relevant accounting standards.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll and assisting with EOM reports.
Experience interpreting and analysing data and advising on data-led decisions and business improvements.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Understand and enjoy creating a positive customer experience and authentic partnerships.
An adaptive leader, strongly motivated with a 'can do' attitude.
Understand how to lead and implement effective change.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role providing cross business support.
Proficiency and confidence in using software systems and working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite) is an advantage.
Hold a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a related discipline e.g., Accounting, Business, Administration.
Willingness to undertake a DHS Working with Children Clearance.
