Overview:

Independently leads multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale transformational change initiatives, or strategically important short-term engagements for senior management, that deliver business outcomes. Has in-depth experience in Transformation Delivery including Program/Project Management, Scope Definition, Process Re-engineering, Workshop Facilitation, Organizational Change Management, Performance Measurement, and Customer Experience.  This function serves as independent 3rd party advising and supporting internal stakeholders on transformation delivery and execution. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Independently lead multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale transformational change initiatives, or strategically important short-term engagements, that deliver business outcomes

• Demonstrate in-depth experience in Transformation Delivery including Program/Project Management, Scope Definition, Process Re-engineering, Workshop Facilitation, Organizational Change Management, Performance Measurement, and Customer Experience.

• Responsible for driving teams in the implementation of numerous governance frameworks aimed at achieving alignment across the bank and its strategy.

• Provide transparency to senior leadership of progress of initiatives.

• Develop and tailor communications content and artifacts used across various levels in the organization on complex business initiatives with high attention to detail and quality.

• Provide execution certainty by setting pace and driving accountability working alongside senior leaders to drive decisions

• Build relationships and participate in engagement management with key stakeholders and encourage collaboration to support an environment of information sharing to effectively deliver outcomes

• Ensure follow up on all critical items and drive accountability through documentation.

• Learn and support understanding of the organization by building credibility with teams, leveraging business acumen and curiosity.

• Proactively leverage multiple Transformation Delivery Tools to ensure all action items, risks, decisions, and issues are identified, captured and escalated. 

• Develop and rely upon relationships to support understanding of the organization to stay connected to changes going on in the bank.

• Leverage deep institutional and banking knowledge of M&T's people, business processes/workflows, products, and technologies and leverages them to shape strategy and deliver desired outcomes.

• Participate in working groups and seeks diverse views to develop strategic recommendations and encourage innovation.

• Champion new transformation delivery tools and techniques and use them to support innovation, development and facilitate discussion.

• Encourage a culture of how to challenge status quo by consistently pushing for innovation and improvement and recommends solutions for adoption across the organization.

• Apply resourcing approaches and support prioritization efforts to ensure the best resources are allocated effectively.

• Support business in defining outcomes and key measures of success for transformation initiatives.

• Mentor and coach other Enterprise Transformation Delivery team members and others within their team to take ownership of their development.

• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Education and Experience Required:

BD Home Care Business

The Home Care business within BD is unique in that it can manufacture products for consumers in the home and service them through our medical distribution subsidiary, Liberator Medical.  This business unit engages with a variety of stakeholders that range from B2B2C and leverages omni-channels to drive awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention of our customers.  The mission of the Home Care business is to deliver clinically superior solutions for people with chronic bladder conditions in their pursuit of normality and independence.  Solutions include both products and services to support customers through their entire journey.   

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining a 2–3-year strategic plan including long-term vision, goals and objectives

• Building robust business cases for technology and operational transformation projects to gain investments needed for project implementation and prioritization

• Translating strategy to an executable project plan for large cross functional teams

• Building and leading cross functional project teams to ensure successful completion of projects, which may include process improvement and business transformation initiatives

• Leading process and workflow mapping workshops across multiple groups with outputs of reduced complexity, improved quality, and more seamless customer experiences

Partner with the AR Shared Services Leader to design and implement processes and reporting associated with extending credit, managing credit, and executing AR collections for Barry-Wehmiller group customers within shared services scope of coverage. Coordinate and execute collections strategies, monitor daily collection efforts, support collectors in the resolution of past dues, and produce associated status reporting. Facilitate AR collections status update meetings for divisions we serve, ensuring information needs satisfied and escalations are prioritized and resolved. Identify common themes and root causes of past due AR, recommend corrective actions, and execute as approved. Continuously improve collections related measurement systems used to report SLA service delivery.  Develop and mentor team, organize daily efforts to the achievement of SLA performance requirements past due reduction targets.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Coordinate and execute collections strategies to accelerate collections timeliness and effectiveness.
• Monitor daily collection efforts, support collectors in the resolution of past dues. Serve as a path of escalation for collectors when customers are unresponsive.
• Set collections priorities as agreed upon by the AR Shared Services Leader.
• Identify common themes and root causes of past due AR, recommend corrective actions, and execute as approved.
• Standardize credit and collections related processes (where appropriate).

• Manage and report on customer status. Recommend customer holds and suspensions, execute as approved, and seek payment on past due invoices as part of the hold and suspension process (when appropriate). Ensure sales teams are aware of customer status and past dues.
• Make and approve credit recommendations for new and existing customers.
• Recommend bad debt write-offs.  Ensure reserving occurs when needed, and reserved flags are accurately maintained in the AR subledger.
• Contribute to monthly SLA performance reporting for credit and collections related SLA agreements.
• Maintain a people-centric performance management environment where collaboration and team problem solving is the norm.
• Review and approve time off requests and timecards. Ensure coverage of daily activities is maintained.

The Client Service Administrator supports Senior Relationship Managers and Client Service team with account management responsibilities for investment management and personal trust accounts. The Corporate Finance Analyst will be responsible for providing support in several key areas of the Corporate Finance department, notably cash and financial forecasting, debt management, and departmental and executive reporting.  The Corporate Finance Analyst will also oversee key financial reporting activities for the company and understand key financial ratios, interpret ongoing reporting requirements, manage to prescribed covenants and legally binding financial restrictions, and submit required reporting to lenders and investors.  A successful candidate will embrace our collaborative culture and manage assigned Corporate Finance and/or Corporate Treasury projects from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the company’s liquidity needs are met to support longer-term investments and acquisition plans, both domestically and abroad.

Overview:

Works with business and support units to help source most suitable software vendors at the best price to meet requirements. Carries out the Strategic Sourcing process designed to maximize competition and leverage when selecting and contracting with chosen vendors. Primary Responsibilities:

• For major sourcing initiatives, work with management to identify an Executive Sponsor and a cross-functional project team to ensure appropriate buy-in, support and participation throughout the project.
• Guide the Project Team through the Strategic Sourcing process and keep the Executive Sponsor and relevant senior managers informed of progress, setbacks and obstacles. • Prepare sufficient documentation to inform Executive Sponsor and senior managers of recommendations and results of the sourcing initiative, including any achieved savings, customer implications and impacts to business operations.
• Guide business and support units through the Third-Party Risk Management Program in conjunction with the Third-Party Risk Management team to ensure selected vendors are properly risk tiered, vetted and approved before executing a contract.
• Research and analyze procurement trend data at the Bank and recommend savings opportunities to associated business lines and support functions.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing is a structured process for selecting the most suitable vendors at the best price. Strategic Sourcing includes a six step process that ensures we are maximizing competition and leverage when choosing vendors. As such, this position is critical to expense control at the Bank. The position is responsible for one or more categories of spending that occur at the Bank and has overall responsibility for controlling expenses in the assigned category across the entire organization, inclusive of all subsidiaries, business units and cost centers. Typically, categories assigned to the position have at least $1 m - $10 m in annual spending. Consequently, a small percentage impact in these categories can have substantial impact on bottom line profitability of the Bank, stock price and shareholder return.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ proven financial and/or business experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ proven financial and/or business experience

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages, including those specific to procurement, as well as spreadsheet, presentation and database software

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience interacting with all levels of management

Strong presentation skills

Experience writing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and negotiating contracts

Education and Experience Preferred:

The Finance Discovery Rep Rotational Program offers graduating students the opportunity to experience corporate finance through the lens of a Fortune 100 company. Selected co-workers will move within three, three-month rotations through Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Credit, and Accounting. This will provide our co-worker with a broad range of experience and understanding, helping to grow their finance career. At the conclusion of the program, you will be assessed by our managers and consulted with prior to full-time placement. GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for profitable business development as well as monitoring the quality of an largest existing portfolio of companies with annual gross sales of at least $50MM and generally less than $500MM within a specific geographic area.  Ability to develop trusted advisory relationships with the Senior Executives ( e.g. CEO, CFO, COO) of the Company. Capable to lead and coordinate with One Bank Partners to create and implement a relationship strategy for very large, complex assigned clients and prospects. This position requires a strong understanding of credit, commercial products and financial statement analysis, in order to offer beneficial banking solutions (e.g. loans, treasury management, capital markets) based on clients and prospects needs. This role is expected to solicit participation in public debt issuance for clients. Some incumbents may specialize in a specific industry such as Health Care. This role is expected to activity participate in community activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development

• Work independently to identify and develop profitable new "lead left" client relationships by leveraging centers of influence, existing clients, & referral sources
• Effective grow long term profitable "lead left" relationships
• Work closely with assigned Fifth Third internal partners to deepen existing relationships and acquire new high value prospective relationships.
• Attend community and/or specific industry forums, conferences and/or meetings in order to broaden relationship networks, referral sources and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, services and the competitive landscape.

Portfolio Management

• Work with One Bank partners (Treasury Management., Capital Markets, and Wealth Management etc.) analyze, evaluate and develop a tailored relationship strategy for each client or prospect.
• Responsible for planning and conducting relationship strategy review meetings with internal Fifth Third Business Partners and Client's trusted advisors (e.g. attorney, accountants)
• Ensure that customer relationships are managed to maximize the opportunity for the bank, while taking into account Bank risk and customer needs.

Client Experience

• Meet with customers on a regular basis to enhance the trusted advisor relationship and ensure business needs are being met
• Lead and coordinate all client facing activities, including credit support, treasury management, and capital markets
• Utilize the Bank's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for client activity tracking, call reports and pipeline management. Reinforce use of CRM for assigned Fifth Third partners for monitoring pre-call and post-call activities
• Utilize consultative sells skills, commercial playbook principals and call reporting plans to enhance the client experience

Credit Excellence

• Analyze the financial information provided to determine the questions to ask to decide on the credit request that should be pursued
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests and adhere to established Portfolio Management guidelines (i.e., delinquencies, documentation preparation, financial statement tracking exceptions, matured loans).
• Monitor, on an ongoing basis, information concerning customer financial performance, condition, and industry trends to determine that any credit exposure is at an acceptable risk, and priced accordingly.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No formal supervisory responsibilities. Expected to provide guidance to Commercial RM I & II

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years Commercial Banking experience.
• 9 years of relationship account management experience preferred.
• Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience required.
• Underwriting experience preferred.
• Proven track record of partnership with investment bankers to provide strategic and capital market advice.
• Strong business acumen, to include detailed analysis, review of financial statements and understanding of accounting principles.
