The Mercer Collection Hotel & Restaurant Group are looking for a new food and beverage supervisor to work across the collection. Consisting of boutique hotels, a Gastro Pub (The Florence Arms) and restaurant (The Garden) we serve a range of customers from locals, to hotel guests, to corporate parties.

Working across our venues The Florence Arms is starting winter 2024 after a busy summer with a new menu launch and prepping for Christmas season. Over in our hotels you'll be serving up to 100 guests on a busy morning at breakfast time. Our popular summer restaurant The Garden stays open for brunch and lunch over autumn before our summer season.

With real room for growth this is a key role within the group and you will be working closely with two other full time managers who have worked at the group for over a decade.

Support and full training provided but it's key you have a strong food and beverage background, are comfortable with the shift patterns the role naturally entails and are passionate about ensuring the best service.

Experience essential. Previous supervisory experience is preferred or the "next step" for someone with a strong hospitality background, lots of confidence looking after guests and leading a team, and whose passion is people & good food!

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holiday season.

Excellent customer service skills required - our customers expect the best & we deliver.

Ability to communicate effectively with employees on shift and guests.

Strong attention to detail required.

Pay £12 - 12.50 dependent on experience, per hour, 45 hour annualised hours contract.

Very generous tips/service charge paid monthly.

Breakfast Chef required in Southsea. You will be looking after our very popular breakfast offering.

Serving a varied breakfast menu all year round to our hotel guests at The Mercer Collection and our guests at The Garden Restaurant, your main duty will be the preparation of breakfast orders in accordance with set standards plus immaculate presentation. Breakfast is an integral part of our guests' stay, and the last thing they enjoy before leaving us, so getting it right is key!

Requirements

Reliability is absolutely paramount for this early-morning role;

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally breakfast, is essential;

Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes;

Ability to work under pressure;
