Kitchen Assistant - required for our new luxury care home ‘The Moat House' located in Great Easton near Great Dunmow, Essex, Part of the Country Court Family.
Hours: 30 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Workings hours- 08:00 to 18:30)
Moat House Care Home is in Great Easton near Great Dunmow, Essex is due to open in October 2023. The sixty-bed home has been completely refurbished and will include six well-appointed suites, promoting a lifestyle for residents that will offer a luxurious environment with exceptional personalised care. Together with round-the-clock hospitality and a daily fine-dining menu, our home will be a wonderful addition to the local community.
Our Kitchen assistants are the back bone of our award winning Kitchens, where you'll be assisting in planning, preparing and delivering a high quality nutritionally benefitting plate of food that not only tickles the taste buds but also makes a difference to health and wellbeing!

ABOUT THE KITCHEN ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Kitchen Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Help our chefs prepare & deliver stunning food for our residents.
Make sure that the food is correctly labelled & meets the specific dietary requirements for our Residents.
Wastage from the preparation is kept to a minimum.
Follow COSHH & Health & Safety Standards

What you'll bring:

You are probably an existing a Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Chef that is looking to take the next step in their career.
You will ideally have experience of working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices)
Good communication skills and a team player.

Experience and Qualifications 
You don’t need experience to join our Food & Beverage Team. You may already be a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant or Fast-Food Crew Member but if not, that’s ok! We will provide the training and support required to ensure you are great at what you do.
