Job Details:

Provides direct patient care to Women and Newborns in an acute care Obstetric setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers and guests as appropriate. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit. In addition, the RN must be able to interpret the appropriate information to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department’s policies and procedures/guidelines.

Required:

Graduate from an accredited program for Registered Nurses.
Registration and current R.N. license in state where employed, current BLS, NRP and Basic Fetal Heart Monitoring Class.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Possess basic computer knowledge.

Job Details:

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.  Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Care Setting.  Is able to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system.  RN’s coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed.  

Required:  
Registration and current R.N. license to practice in the state of Iowa, current BLS.   

Must be able to provide nursing care to patients of all ages according to patient population served.  Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred:    
Clinical nursing experience preferred.

The Recreational Therapist is responsible for planning and directing the activity program. Group and Individual activities will be designed to encourage restoration to self-care and maintenance of normal activity, which is geared to the individual resident’s needs, and interests. The Recreational Therapist will provide programs related to physical activities, cognitive stimulation/intellectual/educational activities, spiritual/religious activities, service activities, sensory stimulation, community activities, expressive and creative activities, family involvement and social activity. The Recreational Therapist will participate in multidisciplinary conferences, as requested, conduct an activity (leisure) assessment of each patient on admission, report verbally and through written report/progress notes in the patient’s chart and to the team members during conference. 

Preferred:

Preferred to have associates degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), Recreation Therapist or Music Therapist. Is knowledgeable in the IDPH regulations for Activities, Quality of Life and able to complete the activities portion of the MDS.

Job Details:

Assumes the responsibility of diagnostic services including: EEG, EKG, Cardiac Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, Pulmonary Function Testing, Pulse Oximetry, Fit Testing, Six Minute Walks, and Breath Alcohol testing (some testing done offsite).  Coordinates and assists with Ventilator care, PAP Therapy. Collects Arterial Blood Gas specimens and occasional venipuncture specimens.  Administers treatments and other therapeutic procedures to assist in the recovery of patients with respiratory and/or cardiac insufficiency.

Required:

Graduate with AA in Respiratory Therapy.

Certified or Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Current Iowa License.

 BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred at time of hire or within 1 year of hire.  Stable is also preferred.
