Requirements and Attributes:
- At least 10 year's experience in a wide range of project healthcare types and scales from ambulatory care facilities, step down care and acute hospitals, hospital service and research laboratories
- Skills in the interactive process of shaping a project for a complex medical institution: assessment of the appropriate design solutions, building consensus for the project, conflict resolution with the hospital administrator and clinicians, the negotiation with the statutory agencies, and implementation through construction processes
- Identification of new demands that will be made on architectural practice due to the changes in the healthcare system, and the new worldwide healthcare architectural practice as driven by modem western medicine
- Strong knowledge of architectural design details, working drawings and construction practices
- Conversant with building codes and regulations
- Strong leadership and design co-ordination skills
