We are looking to hire a Senior Life and Health Pricing Actuary to join our growing team in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Pricing of ANZ and group business of APAC. In this role you will be responsible for the pricing of life reinsurance treaties for the markets in Australia and New Zealand, and the wider group business (short-term business) opportunities across APAC. In more detail your responsibilities will include:

• Helping to grow the Asia Pacific Life business - a high priority objective for PartnerRe;
• Leading the delivery of pricing across both Individual and Group products across different markets while ensuring compliance with internal standards, proper risk assessment and best practice;
• Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to confidently present to senior internal approvers including the Chief Pricing Actuary, local and regional CEOs;
• Working closely with Client Partners to enhance PartnerRe’s presence in market and grow the markets;
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients across the market, including presentation of experience analysis and reinsurance terms to key decision makers;
• Maintaining and developing pricing tools and models and updating terms of trade (e.g. benchmarks);
• Promoting PartnerRe’s expertise through targeted marketing efforts, supporting client visits and externally representing and promoting PartnerRe's capabilities

About this job:

We are looking to hire a Life and Health Pricing Actuary to join our growing team in either Singapore, reporting to the Senior Pricing Actuary. In this role you will be responsible for the pricing of life reinsurance treaties and support the product development primarily for Greater China and Southeast Asia.

About the team:

The regional pricing team is responsible for the pricing of Life & Health business written in the Asia Pacific region.  Across these markets we write group and individual protection business, both in short and in long-term lines.

About the role:

The role provides the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of products. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our pricing team and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe’s Life & Health propositions. 

You will be responsible for performing actuarial pricing exercises and supporting the deal underwriter in preparing responses to tenders. This typically involves carrying out actuarial analyses, proposing and owning assumptions, and providing technical expertise.

In detail your responsibilities will include:

• Performing and documenting the pricing of quotes across responsible markets while ensuring compliance to internal standards, thorough risk assessment and application of best practice
• Developing, enhancing and maintaining pricing benchmarks, tools and efficient methods of carrying out existing processes
• Working closely with internal stakeholders in pricing initiatives and allocated projects. 

We are seeking to hire an Actuarial Intern to join our team in Singapore, reporting to the market Senior Pricing Actuary. In this role you will be responsible for a small number of topics. In more details your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting simple quotation activities for life and health products;
• Performing market research and actuarial experience studies in respect of mortality, morbidity and lapses on client portfolios in order to improve our internal modelling;
• Adoption of new actuarial modelling tool (R / AXIS);
• Maintaining and developing pricing bases and tools.
