Paediatric Emergency Department Health Care Assistant

Opportunity available for a Health Care Assistant to join the team within the A & E Department, Based across North West England

The team is located within the A & E with the role will be predominately providing support and care for patients with physical health needs within a multidisciplinary setting and will also consist with undertaking assigned tasks under the general supervision of a registered nurse, including assisting in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. As a health care assistant you will be supporting the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services and delivering care within the practice.

This role is to commence ASAP with shifts being a mix of earlies, Lates, Days or Nights. It is essential you have a healthcare qualification with this being a minimum of either a BTEC or NVQ level and also 12 months experience working within A & E & with Paediatric Patients

Hourly Rate for this role:

Monday to Friday: £12.00 (PAYE)
Saturday & Sunday: £14.00 (PAYE)
Nights: £16.00 (PAYE)

You will participate in all branch processes and establish relationships with customers, patients, healthcare professionals and Trust colleagues. Duties

will include dispensing medication on outpatient prescriptions, stock ordering and management, invoicing and financing deliveries, as well as all other duties associated with working in a busy outpatient pharmacy.

You will have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services

Essential:

Able to demonstrate self-motivation with good interpersonal skills
Understanding of confidentiality
Ability to prioritise work load and work to deadlines
