The Opportunity
To support the clinical team to deliver high quality patient care to our patients to optimise their post-operative recovery and well-being. As our Physiotherapy Assistant, you will:

Deliver high quality, effective clinical care under the supervision of our registered physiotherapists and nursing staff on the ward.

Promote multi-disciplinary working alongside therapy and nursing teams.

Carry out IT admin e.g scanning, booking appointments, billing etc.

Ensure that all clinical records are accurately maintained and conform to all legal requirements

Complete administrative duties and telephone work to support the therapy and nursing teams to enable smooth and efficient care throughout the patient journey.

Be responsible for reviewing and reporting stock level and supplies to ensure the clinical environment is fit for purpose.

Assist with cleaning of Physiotherapy equipment and infection Prevention.
To succeed as a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will need:

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, ideally in an orthopaedic health care support or therapy assistant role.

To be enthusiastic and motivated with a can do attitude and able to work with own initiative.

Highly organised and flexible.

Confident with IT. Previous experience in orthopaedic in-patient care is essential. Physiotherapy assistant experience is desirable, but HCA or nursing care would be considered

At the Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital, we are recognised for our expert clinical care, expertise and friendly atmosphere. Our excellent teamwork and commitment to training has created an innovative clinical environment. Our purpose-build hospital has 39 bedrooms, 3 theatres and 1 minor treatment facility and busy outpatient department. We also provide physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. We are conveniently located on Clayton Road, off the A519. We also provide free parking for staff.
