Under the guidance of the Mental Health Service Manager, we are seeking an experienced and progressive nurse leader to oversee our 22-bed private mental health unit, The Northern Beaches Clinic, and the 15-bed Mental Health Older Persons Unit (3D), which encompasses our private mental health stream. Your leadership will focus on strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of practices, processes, and services, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a patient-centered approach and a track record of driving excellence in mental health care. To be successful, you will: · Provide operational leadership for the wards to ensure efficient and effective management. · Coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based. · Implement the Trauma Informed Care & Recovery model of care. · Ensure the delivery of excellent patient centred care in a multidisciplinary team focused environment. · Provide guidance, mentoring and support to your team. · Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources. · Undertake direct patient care, as required. · Have experience in a public or private mental health setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as a NUM3 in the Public Mental Health Stream, developing their managerial skillset and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role is a key part of our service strategy, aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities and fostering a culture of excellence in mental health care. An experienced Manager with a passion for developing talent within the team, you will also possess the following skills and attributes : · Current Registration with AHPRA · Formal management qualifications or working towards is preferred. · Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills. · Experience in a mental health management setting and with implementing a Recovery and trauma informed model of care. · Proven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach. · Demonstrated ability to manage change. · Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders. · Proven high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. · Demonstrated initiative and creative thinking. · A commitment to a high standard of clinical and patient focused care. · Ability to adopt a strategic overview whilst managing complex, challenging and demanding daily operational issues. · High degree of computer literacy.
