Reporting to the Health in All Policies Team Manager, you will work to support and influence land use planning across Cambridgeshire, to assess implications for health and improve design. You will also respond to environmental permit applications and provide Public Health input into air quality locally.

Another key part of this role will be to influence wider policy and strategy development to reflect the impact that places can have on health and wellbeing and health inequalities. You will proactively build and maintain relationships internally and with key external partners, identifying opportunities for improving health locally.

As part of this, the role includes some responsibility for developing and procuring or delivering training on ‘healthy places’ for staff from the council and partner organisations.

The Person

• A comprehensive knowledge of the Global Rating Scale and JAG accreditation is essential alongside evidence of endoscopy competency through the JETS Workforce program.

• You will have a minimum of 3 years' senior experience working in a similar setting.

• Ideally, you'll have a qualification in teaching, together with some mentoring experience.

• You must have clinical assessment skills; a physical examination course would be desirable.

• You'll be accountable for leading, motivating, educating and supervising the Endoscopy Team.

• Professional management experience is essential, as you'll need to be equipped for business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk analysis.

• Working closely with other managers, tax specialists and other team members

Desired skills and experience

• You should hold the ICAEW/ACCA qualification, or be able to demonstrate that you are qualified by experience to a similar level
• Must have previous recent experience within a UK practice environment preparing accounts and tax returns for both unincorporated and corporate clients
• Managing and training staff
• Previous exposure to medical sector clients is essential
• Experience of using Microsoft Office and accounting software Sage and Xero
• Excellent communication skills: confident and articulate in dealing with a wide range of clients
• Tenacious, thorough, with a self-motivated attitude, expert eye for detail and good organisational skills
