The postholder will work with the Digital Leadership team across CLCH, WL and CNWL to develop and enhance and deliver cross-cutting collaboration of digital programmes that support the Trusts strategies and long-term plan commitments. The postholder will lead on unifying, developing and implementing new ways of working using digital and data that will optimise the health and care experience of not only our workforces, but those using our services. They will work with key leads within the Trusts as well as establishing strong external partnership relationships which join up pathways of care across organisational boundaries. The postholder will play an important role in building and managing external relationships across our ICS and Place Based footprints and will support members of the Digital Board in contributing to ICS and place based Digital Strategies. Despite extensive efforts within the Trust, certain categories of incident recur and continue to cause harm to our patients. The mechanisms the Trust uses to improve safety are not always capable of delivering what is required, for example when it involves multiple divisions, sites and professions. Based on themes from actions arising from RCAs and SIs, new groups have been established to ensure that the quality improvement work undertaken for patient safety is adequately standardised and prioritised. This corporate Quality Improvement Programme requires clinical support to ensure the safe and effective implementation of the QI projects. This post represents an opportunity to gain further experience of quality improvement, clinical governance and healthcare management within a large and complex NHS Trust which would be well suited for a candidate with aspirations to develop a career in any of these areas.

We are seeking an experienced and capable clinical pharmacy leader with a track record of delivering high quality and innovative services. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across a mix of acute and community sites including Conquest Hospital, Eastbourne District General Hospital, Bexhill Hospital, and Rye Hospital. You will support the Chief Pharmacist by promoting and implementing a high quality, safe and cohesive service to all our patients.

ESHT is an integrated acute and community Trust providing healthcare for the people of East Sussex. Our acute clinical services team provide medicines optimisation across a broad range of specialties and functions including pharmacist run clinics in specialties including stroke, cardiology and neurology. The community team supports our intermediate care units, virtual wards and domiciliary service. The medicines value team supports our efficiently programmes through pathway optimisation and cost-effective use of biosimilars. We operate an aseptic unit at Conquest Hospital preparing chemotherapy for both of the acute sites.

The pharmacy service has a high level of digital maturity. We make extensive use of automated medicines storage and recently completed the roll out of a comprehensive ePMA system to all acute adult beds, which is fully integrated with the pharmacy system.
