As the Peripatetic Nurse Manager your key responsibilities include:
• Supporting 2 divisions and maintain regional contact for each Care home
• Conducting routine Head Office visits across care homes as directed by Divisional Directors
• Ensuring that a stimulated and caring environment is always maintained
• Overseeing and ensuring the effective delivery of the medicine administration process in line with the company care management of medicines policy
• Ensuring that attendance to both mandatory and required training courses, including that of staff members within a home, is met in order that skills, knowledge, and competency levels are maintained to carry out the role efficiently and effectively
• Supporting the Home Manager to plan and facilitate regular staff meetings: staff supervision establishing an effective communication system, ensuring that staff members are kept up to date with all current necessary information
• Providing support and assistance to staff members and ensuring that areas of responsibility are maintained and to delegate duties to staff as appropriate, ensuring implementation

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Previous experience of working with a large multi-site Care Provider within a capacity of a high-Level Manager
• Excellent knowledge of the CQC standards
• Working knowledge of Legislation and the Regulatory Framework underpinning practice in relation to the care of older people
• Flexible and willing to travel and work a variety of shifts, including the occasional weekend shifts

NELFT is an experienced provider of mental health services for children and young people, already providing these services in Essex, Medway and four London boroughs. About NELFTs Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) NELFTs CYPMHS is for anybody aged between 0-18, living in Kent and is free at the point of entry. The service is also for young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25. The CAMHS Tier II and Tier III services no longer exist, replaced with an integrated CYPMHS. Any young person experiencing emotional wellbeing or mental health problems, (or any parent, guardian, professional or teacher of a child who is experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties), may access our service. Structure of Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) There is one Childrens Single Point of Access (SPA), a Neurodevelopmental & Learning Disabilities Service, a dedicated crisis team and inpatient service based in Staplehurst and eight Locality Teams. These are located across Medway, Dartford, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, South Kent (Folkestone & Dover), Thanet, Swale, Canterbury and Ashford. What difficulties can be referred to the service? This transformation of children and young peoples mental health services has a clinical focus, integrated with local authorities to deliver a long term collaborative approach to planning and delivering services. CYPMHS focuses on emotional wellbeing as well as mental health and includes access to self-help tools and services based in schools and the community. We are creating a modern service that fits with childrens lives in a way that best suits them. About the role:

The Role

You’ll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills.

The purpose of the role is to bridge the gap between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health services by delivering high quality Mental Health care in Primary Care settings. It will allow the Children and Young people of Kent and Medway to receive Mental Health care in GP settings and support individuals to access a range of interventions outside of secondary care services. The role requires a highly competent, proficient practitioner, who is able to work autonomously & creatively in this busy demanding role. Excellent assessment skills and knowledge of local services is essential to this role, as it is the gate keeper and guardian for referral to secondary services. The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients complex mental health needs to manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works in close partnership with Social Care and housing providers to ensure each client has the necessary resources available to enable them to engage in their rehab journey. Across the Community Rehabilitation teams, the clinical team consists of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and VCSE Workers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our new North Kent Community Rehabilitation Service.

Individuals will be expected to ensure the team is able provide input between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 according to the needs of the service, including working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• The senior occupational therapist is an experienced occupational therapist within the multi-disciplinary care team.
• To identify, develop and provide the Occupational Therapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
• To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for identified service users.
• To manage a defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence based, service user centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
• To provide supervision to designated junior staff and students.
