About NELFTs Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) NELFTs CYPMHS is for anybody aged between 0-18, living in Kent and is free at the point of entry. The service is also for young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25. The CAMHS Tier II and Tier III services no longer exist, replaced with an integrated CYPMHS. Any young person experiencing emotional wellbeing or mental health problems, (or any parent, guardian, professional or teacher of a child who is experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties), may access our service. Structure of Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) There is one Childrens Single Point of Access (SPA), a Neurodevelopmental & Learning Disabilities Service, a dedicated crisis team and inpatient service based in Staplehurst and eight Locality Teams. These are located across Medway, Dartford, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, South Kent (Folkestone & Dover), Thanet, Swale, Canterbury and Ashford. What difficulties can be referred to the service? Mood and anxiety disorders Behavioural and conduct disorders Emerging personality and attachment disorders Psychotic disorders Deliberate self-harm and suicidal ideation Substance misuse with co-existing mental health needs (dual diagnosis) Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) - with co-occurring mental health needs Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) - with co-occurring mental health needs Neurodevelopmental disorders Prolonged bereavement problems All referrals to the service are assessed using a care pathways approach, developed in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance criteria (NICE) and based on a best practice model of treatment. Locality Team in Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) The aim of our CYPMHS is to respond earlier to children and young peoples needs in order to help prevent, reduce or delay the need for more specialist interventions. This transformation of children and young peoples mental health services has a clinical focus, integrated with local authorities to deliver a long term collaborative approach to planning and delivering services. CYPMHS focuses on emotional wellbeing as well as mental health and includes access to self-help tools and services based in schools and the community. The CAMHS Tier II and Tier III service no longer exist, replaced with an integrated CYPMHS. Training and support is available to other professionals and agencies. We are creating a modern service that fits with childrens lives in a way that best suits them. Key new features include a Childrens Single Point of Access (SPA) into the service, clear early signposting, and use of digital channels such as Big White Wall to access support and services. Each locality team have care pathways. Each care pathway is clinically led, with care pathway leads operationally managing all CYPMHS practitioners working in that care pathway. With the support of the team manager, care pathway leads are responsible for assessment, treatment and systematic outcome measurement in that care pathway. CYPMHS multi-disciplinary pathway workers and mental health workers may work across more than one care pathway in a locality team. There is an exciting opportunity within the Vascular department at East Kent Hospitals for a Speciality Doctor in Vascular to join our team. The Vascular Department provides for the admission of emergency and elective in-patients, day case surgery, diagnostic procedures and outpatient consultations. The unit hosts the Kent & Medway National AAA screening programme. There is a full endovascular service and the unit has a hybrid operating theatre (and currently the second endovascular theatre is being refurbished). The AAA endovascular programme includes a fenestrated stent graft practice.

The department has a full established of ward nurses on Kent Ward, a 31 bedded ward dedicated to Vascular with additional beds for day-case surgery alongside 5 Vascular Nurse specialists working within the Vascular unit



The K&C site has the centre for Kent Vascular services, interventional radiology, Urology surgery, Oncology, anaesthetics/ITU/HDU, a full 24-hour medical take, an emergency Care Centre and 24-hour operating theatre availability.

The applicant will have a broad-based training in Vascular and General Surgery. They should have GMC Registration with license to practice in hand. They must be able to integrate well within the department and help deliver vascular services to the local population. They should be able to be on -call and supply vascular advice and assistance in emergencies. The successful applicant will participate in the weekly vascular MDT meeting.

There is a full 24 hours non-resident middle grade support for Vascular emergencies. There is a hospital night team on call out of hours on the Kent & Canterbury site. The Vascular Surgery F2 trainees and CT’s are members of this team. This team in addition to Vascular cover provides emergency cover provides emergency cover for Urological in-patients, emergency admission and referrals from GP’s or other hospital sites in East Kent. Vascular emergency referrals are managed according to agreed guidelines that are reviewed regularly at monthly audit and training meetings.

The post holder will be required to travel across the other Hospital sites in East Kent for outpatient clinics.

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

Work throughout 2025 on a project-by-project basis.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and updating the stand
Moving parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot* for kit collection, which is paid time.


What will I get in return?


Training: Provided in full and you are paid – This will be in December and paid before Christmas
Work: Assignment basis, under own supervision



Travel: Regionally, 50 to 80 miles of your home
Location: Field Based – working in various high street retailers
Hours: 8 hr days
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour plus expenses (fuel/parking etc.)
Equipment: Uniform, Company van (for business use only), and PPE are all provided where applicable
Flexibility: Work when you are available on a variety of projects

The Community Rehabilitation Service provides a flexible range of mental health interventions to help clients complex mental health needs to manage their mental health more effectively and remain in their own homes. The team works in close partnership with Social Care and housing providers to ensure each client has the necessary resources available to enable them to engage in their rehab journey. Across the Community Rehabilitation teams, the clinical team consists of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses, and VCSE Workers.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our new North Kent Community Rehabilitation Service.

Individuals will be expected to ensure the team is able provide input between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 according to the needs of the service, including working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• The senior occupational therapist is an experienced occupational therapist within the multi-disciplinary care team.
• To identify, develop and provide the Occupational Therapy contribution within the multi-disciplinary service in accordance with the needs of service users and the requirements of the service.
• To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for identified service users.
• To manage a defined caseload of service users with occupational needs using evidence based, service user centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
• To provide supervision to designated junior staff and students.
