Capacity Planner - Physiotherapy

Using your skills as a planner the Capacity Planner - Physiotherapy will effectively load and manage clinician diaries, regularly implement efficiencies through the use of utilisation reporting and stakeholder engagement. Reacting in real time to changes in resource levels to decrease impacts to capacity and client journeys. Demonstrating the ability to use lateral thinking in problem solving scenarios. Maintaining a constant flow of availability for the bookings team within a set region and support with A/L and other off diary activity authorisations in conjunction with site management. Supporting the national lead by encouraging and supporting the growth of a positive team environment, facilitating the development of robust skillsets and processes and maintaining productive and appropriate communications channels with all relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintenance of clinician rotas for specific regional clusters.

• Identifying resource and separating by clinical specialty; Doctor, Physiotherapist, Physiologist, Mental Health Therapist, etc.

• Constructing work patterns using Excel spreadsheets and liaising with site management to ensure maximum efficiencies are being met.

• Loading and maintenance of clinician diaries for a specific cluster of regional locations.

• Matching clinical diaries to clinician rotas in line with specified SLAs. Ensuring the appropriate level of capacity is available in line with expected and real time demand.

• Identifying and implementing diary efficiencies in line with the evolving needs of the service line

• Receive notifications of unplanned clinician absence or changes to their diary availability

• Assess the impact of the absence, identify solutions to mitigate the impact, communicate with local management to agree the best course of action and implement

• Utilise internal reports to adapt capacity levels and structure in line with current or future trends

• Use real time feedback from the Team Leaders within the contact centre to support analysis

• Planning in advance to avoid significant disruption in service and overlapping of events. Preventing late notice and failures to comply which could result in clinicians being unable to see patients

• Following processes, only accepting requests from line managers who have stuck to procedure and either remained within the stipulated SLAs or have provided appropriate justification for falling outside of SLAs

• Reporting to support daily operations. Taking responsibility for weekly scheduled reporting supporting the BAU activity of the team. Maintaining distribution lists and accuracy of information

Undertake a holistic nursing assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient together with an awareness of their support network. To work autonomously by accepting responsibility for own patient caseload, ensuring all patients have an accurate plan of care, which reflects the assessment undertaken and incorporates the issues and recommendations made, and ensuring clear documentation in the patients records. Providing detailed baseline patient assessment and education and support to patients and their families. Manage all patients on any disease modifying therapy (DMT) including DMTs for highly active rapidly evolving RRMS that require complex monitoring and preparation pre-treatment. To ensure patients are given all the information required about each DMT and the risks to enable them to consent to the treatment choice. To facilitate independence and empower patients in managing their own lives using educational strategies and motivational techniques. Requesting and monitoring of blood tests, MRI scans and other investigations as appropriate for particular treatments ensuring patients/ families are aware of the purpose of these and keeping medical colleagues aware of results. Maintain a support network and contact link for patients and/or families/carers. Momentum Instore have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Beauty Merchandiser on a flexible basis, working 8-hour days Monday to Friday as and when we have projects (2025).

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

Work throughout 2025 on a project-by-project basis.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and updating the stand
Moving parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot* for kit collection, which is paid time.

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and qualified registered Occupational Therapist to join our team at Epsom & Ewell. We are proactive in supporting all our staff to develop, with a focus on continual practice development. This diverse role requires professional experience of assessing for major adaptations, specialised equipment and completing moving and handling risk assessments, with the aim of supporting our residents to live meaningful lives within the community, the very essence of occupational therapy.

We offer regular supervision to all our staff every month, plus we provide informal support to the wider team. The value of occupational therapists is well recognised within our team, which enables us to fully utilise our skills and strengths to achieve a critical service, focussing on what is important to the individual.

You will work alongside a variety of residents who have differing and/or complex needs by using a strength-based approach. Residents may be elderly and frail, experience a learning disability, physical or sensory impairment, or have mental ill health. This diverse role will facilitate your development and equip you with a large range of skills to enable you to undertake frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting.

Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

• Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Experience of working within a social care, health, or community focused multi-disciplinary setting.
• Ability to complete person centred and proportionate OT assessments.
• Familiarity with moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids.
• Knowledge of medical conditions and the likely impact on the individual, carer, and family
• Knowledge of current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act and its application to practice in a social care setting
• Post-qualification professional experience would also be required and experience of providing professional supervision would be beneficial (support and training to further these skills will be provided).
