An opportunity has arisen to for a Band 6 dosimetrist to join the radiotherapy physics team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, with appointment at band 5 possible for less experienced (or newly qualified) staff and training provided to progress to band 6.



The department delivers a comprehensive Radiotherapy service to approximately 2000 patients per year including a brachytherapy service and a complex Stereotactic Radiotherapy service.



A major part of the work involves complex treatment planning, particularly VMAT and dynamic IMRT Planning.The treatment planning team is also involved in Stereotactic radiotherapy planning (SRS), 4D planning, VMAT QA, and plan checking. Adaptive Radiotherapy Planning is routine for bladder treatments.



Treatment Planning is carried out on Eclipse for the five Varian TrueBeam linacs.



Two linacs have HyperArc and a 6d couch for intracranial Stereotactic treatment.



Pre-treatment imaging is carried out on the department’s widebore CT scanner and there is also access to MR and PET-CT in the hospital.



The post holder will carry out a range of VMAT, IMRT and conformal planning and will have the opportunity to develop skills in stereotactic planning and take part in research and development projects.

To assist in the provision of an efficient, high quality patient treatment planning service for Radiotherapy. Provide advice to the Clinical Oncologists, Radiographers and Physicists. Assist with an in-vivo dosimetry service. Participate in the teaching, training and development work of the Section.



Allduties are in support of the radiotherapy physics provision within the Trust. The postholder has a responsibility to report all abnormal or unusual results, or measurements lying outside tolerance limits, to the Headof Section or deputy. The work requires a high degree of accuracy with the postholder having a strong sense of responsibility and displaying personal initiative. The postholder will be an Operator as defined by the Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations (IRMER 2017).

Barts Health requires an Deputy Lead Cancer Nurse to work as part of the Corporate Nursing Team across all four hospitals in the BH Group of hospitals. This a new role to support the Director of Cancer and Palliative Care Nursing while leading on the specialist palliative care nursing agenda. The role will also encompass cancer patient experience and patient and public involvement.
Each of the four hospitals in the Group has a specialist palliative care team and Whipps Cross Hospital also has the Margaret Centre for inpatient palliative care. There are close links with the Education Academy and City University.

As part of the London Sickle cell improvement programme, the Integrated Care System (ICS) and Imperial have asked Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) Southwest division, to provide the community provision of the new Sickle cell service in 4 new boroughs – Richmond, Merton, Sutton, and Kingston, with the addition of the current existing sickle cell service in Wandsworth, supporting from pre-conception providing genetic counselling, through to paediatric and adult support. The Haemoglobinopathy service is seeking to recruit a full-time community haemoglobinopathy nurse with a background in children's nursing to join the service. This job description covers both children and adult nursing, but specific clinical duties will be determined by the post covered. Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and committed pharmacy technician? Would you like to join our pharmacy technician development program? You will undertake pharmacy-related duties across all sites in the Trust and will be based in Hackney (E9 6SR, E9 5TD, N4 2ES) You will be required to undertake ward stock top up and non-stock top up and participate in dispensary duties. You will use pharmacy electronic ordering systems to co-ordinate and maintain supply of medicines to wards and work with the other technicians to improve stock systems and reduce waste. You will also support the pharmacists with medicines reconciliation as well as undertaking audits and stock reviews.

We are enthusiastic about supporting our staff to develop, as such, you will be required to work across our pharmacy dispensary and clinical teams. You will be an accredited medicines management training (AIMMS) and/or Accredited checking technician training (ACT) or working towards it. You should have aBTEC / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent and be registered on the UK GPHC professional registration.



1. To assist with the provision of a high-quality pharmacy optimisation service to patients of the

Trust.

2. Co-ordinates and maintains medication supply to the wards and teams.

3. Assesses identified patient’s individual pharmaceutical care needs within 72 hours of admission.

4. Initiates and completes a medicine reconciliation for each identified patient.

5. Is a key member of the Multidisciplinary Team, participating in weekly team meetings to maximise

patients’ potential for independent medicines optimisation.

6. To support the clinical pharmacy team in attaining CQUIN and KPI targets

7. Ensures all documentation in regard to Medications Optimisation on the unit is completed

accurately.

8. To participate in dispensary duties where applicable

9. To maintain Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) status

10. To prepare and maintain Medicines Optimisation (MOPs) accreditation.

11. To prepare discharge medication (TTAs) in a timely and efficient manner

12. To communicate discharge information to patients, Community Pharmacies and GPs

13. To participate in the weekend rota.

Provide management leadership and development to a multidisciplinary crisis intervention team which includes both health and social care practitioners. Provide leadership management and development of the RBG out of hours service. To ensure the team operates cohesively to deliver timely, comprehensive assessment, treatment and intervention preventing hospital attendance / admission or premature care home admission. Provide strong leadership, guidance, and supervision to foster positive and collaborative team culture that emphasises client / patient-centred care, continuous learning and professional growth. To provide operational management and leadership to a multi-disciplinary/inter professorial team across health and social care including deputising for both the Adult Social Care (Royal Borough of Greenwich) and Health Service (Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust) leads. To promote and deliver partnership working with senior managers and colleagues across health and social care, and deliver the out of hospital strategy in the borough necessary to deliver the health and social care priorities. To deliver joint health and social care internal and external performance measures and fulfil both local and national statutory reporting requirements. Be accountable and provide clear leadership to all Health and Social Care staff in the team and ensure that all staff understand and contribute to NHS and Social Care challenges and opportunities.
