To provide specialist knowledge and support to patients, staff and family within the acute setting, and through nurse-led outpatient clinics. 2. Conduct nurse-led chronic liver disease, follow-up and drug counselling/monitoring clinics. 3. Manage a telephone helpline for patients with liver disease offering support, advice, information and counselling. 4. Manage a blood monitoring service for liver patients. 5. If you want to develop your knowledge, skills and experience in the acute, stroke and neurorehabilitation settings, this post will offer a variety of caseload experience and professional development opportunities, including completion of the RCSLT Newly Qualified Practitioner framework and in-house dysphagia competency training.

This role is split between our acute, stroke and neuro-rehabilitation caseloadsand requires regular, joint multidisciplinary team working. There will be opportunities to gain experience across acute and rehabilitation settings including opportunities to provide regular teaching and training to nurses, medics and other AHPs.



The post holder will be required to provide specialist assessment and treatment along the various clinical pathways including neurorehabilitation, stroke, care of the elderly, general medicine, respiratory and trauma. The post holder will work as part of the SLT team and wider MDT and will be supported and supervised by a Specialist SLT as well as the Clinical Lead SLT.

We have an exciting career development opportunity for a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to help lead and manage our growing designated paediatric emergency service. We are self-contained unit situated within our main A&E Department. We see approximately 50-90 children a day covering all specialities, except minor injury as they are seen within the urgent care centre.

This position offers the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of paediatric emergency care and management at a senior level when deputising for the Senior Sister. The successful post holder will be supported by the Senior Sister and the Matron for Paediatric ED. There are opportunities to undertake management study days to support your development within this role.

We are seeking professional individuals with the following:

• A passion for quality patient focused care;

•Previous experience of paediatric emergency nursing or paediatric ITU/HDU;

• A willingness to undertake a leadership role

An interview date is yet to be confirmed.
• To act as the shift co-coordinator on a day-to-day basis, providing supervision and support to the multi-disciplinary team.
• Develop, manage and monitor the performance of a team of nurses, ensuring that the highest standards of care and safety are achieved and maintained at all times.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork at all levels.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership skills and evidence of specialist knowledge.
• Assist the Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse, in management of staff within the Emergency Department including human resource management, clinical governance and risk management.
• Contribute toward the strategic and operational development of the department.
