DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST As a Research Nurse, your main duties will include: Planning and supporting study set up across various sites within Sheffield . You will be involved in screening, recruitment, monitoring and assessments of research subjects in accordance with local, national, and international protocols, policies, and procedures. Be responsible for the planning and implementation of protocols in accordance with research parameters as set out by the Chief and Principal Investigators. Establish appropriate data collection systems for patient data (including monitoring of data), in accordance with research protocols. This includes the creation and maintenance of databases for study progression. Monitor research subjects using excellent communication skills by telephone or face-to-face, keeping documented evidence and records of the intervention. Represent and promote the objectives of the research study to internal/external constituencies appropriately. Plan, organise, and complete complex clinical procedures (breathing assessment including spirometry) using efficient workflow schedules and maintain accurate documented records. Be responsible for explaining clinical aspects of the study to the patients and carers involved in the study on a one-to-one basis. Liaise with the GP Surgery staff, central research teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely arrangement of patient visits for both recruitment and follow-up. Maintain contact with participants during follow-up, including home visits where appropriate. Always remain professional and deal sensitively with participants and their carers. Providing regular feedback on the study progress and milestones to relevant stakeholders and work towards resolving any issues as they arise. Ensure that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is maintained appropriately at the coordinating centre and the GP practices. All appropriate paperwork to be forwarded to trial managers in a timely manner. Ensure that all research is ethical and carried out in accordance with regulatory guidance. Ensure compliance with the organisational and national policies and guidelines. Carry out any other research-related duties within the post holders qualifications and competence as delegated by the Lead Research Nurse, Clinical Lead, and the Trail Sponsors Willing to undertake any training as deemed necessary. Sugarman's Children Services are looking for experienced Teachers to provide face to face alternative provision to SEN / SEND/ SEMH/ children and young people with challenging behaviours in and around Gainsborough.

 

Our Children's Services division specialises in supplying trained and experienced teachers during or after school, including in a student's own home, on school premises or an alternative agreed venue.   

 

Our approach focuses solely on achieving goals for students, supporting growth, knowledge and development to demonstrate progress and harness their potential. To enable us to achieve this, we put significant thought into matching children with the right teaching approach, location and tutor. We find working this way leads to a greater achievement against targets.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, flexible lessons tailored to individual student needs.

• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage their academic and personal growth.

• Help students re-engage with their education in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

• Use creative strategies to manage challenging behaviour and support emotional well-being.

• Adapt the curriculum to suit individual needs, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated. Regularly assess students' progress and tailor lessons to meet their evolving needs.

 

To be eligible for this role you must have the following:     

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Have a strong subject knowledge (English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills)     

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children / young people in a classroom setting     

• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

• Hold right to work in the UK     

• Knowledge and understanding of the Safeguarding Policy     

• Taught in a classroom setting in the UK
