This position functions in the clinical associate role in the primary care clinic, which utilizes a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. The PACT ICT is responsible for providing direct and/or indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients. The Lead Nurse for the Thames Valley and Wessex Paediatric Critical Care ODN will provide nursing leadership across the Network, acting as a source of expertise, advice and knowledge for providers, commissioning and ICBs. You will work alongside the national PCC ODN lead nurses to deliver on nationally agreed programmes of work and to support regional surge planning for PCC capacity.

You would work with the Network Manager, Education team and Lead Clinicians as part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team to lead the strategic and operational development of coherent and effective network arrangements, and delivery of a programme of work that addresses national and local priorities, leading on user engagement and risk management. some of the key programmes of work for the upcoming 18 months are: implementation of the PCC services specifications for Level 2, Level 3 and Transport services, working in collaboration with LTV providers to develop services alongside the NCEPOD recommendations and implementation of national Paediatric Early Warning scores.

You will also, in partnership with the ODN Education team, PIER and SORT play a key role in delivering education and training for Paediatric Critical Care across the ODN.

This role is primarily a home working role however the ability and flexibility to travel to regional and national meetings is essential.

We have an home based opportunity for a skilled and motivated Referral Unit Advisor to join our team.

Working in an administrative capacity you will work in the Referral Unit within the east Kent locality taking calls and emails from Acute Trusts, GPs and patients in the community. The role will be to process the referral and refer to the relevant team in a timely manner focusing on the patient experience.

Patient engagement and quality of administration are paramount in this role. Patients are at the heart of what we want all of our team to share in that ethos.

The referral unit runs 7 days a week.


The hours for this role will be 5 x 7.5 hours a day over a 7day period.


These hours will be between 08:00 & 22:00hrs, Monday to Sunday (including all bank holidays) with 1 weekend in 4 and 1 late shift a week.


The rota is produced 3 months in advance so you will have plenty of notice for your shifts.







Additional Working Pattern: 5 x 7.5 hrs shifts a week - Mon to Sun between 08:00 & 22:00 - 1 weekend in 4
