To work closely with the CTM and Operational Manager in overseeing efficiency and effectiveness of treatment provided and support the CTM in carrying out their duties. We are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. Since first established in October 2013 we have grown into a city wide service and enabled many patients to stay in the comfort of their own homes whilst receiving IV treatment or subcutaneous hydration that would have otherwise required a hospital admission.

We not only prevent hospital admission but also facilitate early discharge by inserting vascular access devices and arranging community IV therapy. The team has shown that IV therapy is a cost efficient way of treating patients, and that the patient experience is greatly enhanced as they are able to carry on with their lives and avoid the disruption that can be caused by a hospital admission. It also means that hospital beds are freed up for those patients who are not able to receive treatment elsewhere.

This role gives a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a community setting and work within the teaching hospitals of this large NHS Trust delivering autonomous and bespoke care in an in patient and outpatient environment. The service is still evolving and so networking, training and data collection and evaluation will be an important part of the role. You will be involved in patient discussions with clinicians of all levels on a daily basis therefore excellent communication skills are essential. You will have the opportunity to expand your practice by attending the clinical examinations skills course and being involved in the insertion, care and maintenance of different intra-vascular access devices for the longer term patients.

Sugarman's Children Services are looking for experienced Teachers to provide face to face alternative provision to SEN / SEND/ SEMH/ children and young people with challenging behaviours in and around York. This covers surrounding areas such as Pocklington, Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate, Selby, Wetherby.

Our Children's Services division specialises in supplying trained and experienced teachers during or after school, including in a student's own home, on school premises or an alternative agreed venue.  

Our approach focuses solely on achieving goals for students, supporting growth, knowledge and development to demonstrate progress and harness their potential. To enable us to achieve this, we put significant thought into matching children with the right teaching approach, location and tutor. We find working this way leads to a greater achievement against targets.  

To be eligible for this role you must have the following:    

• QTS or Equivalent    

• Have a strong subject knowledge (English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills)    

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children / young people in a classroom setting    

• Enhanced DBS on the update system    

• Hold right to work in the UK    

• Knowledge and understanding of the Safeguarding Policy    

• Taught in a classroom setting in the UK

An opportunity has arisen for a clinical leadershipin Speech and Language Therapyfor Surgery and Critical Care services within the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As a clinical lead, you will work closely withspeech and language therapistsand multi-professional colleagues across the Trust, to ensure high qualityspeech and languagecare is provided for all patientsin the service. This an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge within Critical Care and Surgery including voice/ENTalongsideexpandingyour skills across each of the Four Pillars of Practice.This role has a strong component of leading clinical transformation and improvement projects across clinical areas within the service.There will be opportunities to engage in research, present your workand lecture in the areas of your clinical expertise.You will also be expected to support the learning and development of otherspeech and language therapistsand multi-professional colleaguesthrough training, supervision, reflective practice and other evidence based approaches to adult learning.

You will join a friendly team of over20 speech and language therapists. You will be primarily based at York Hospital and will travel to Scarborough and other Trust localities regularly.

You will be part of a supportive seniorSpeech and Languageleadership team, including otherClinicalLeadSpeech and Language Therapists, aTeam Manager, as well asSenior Operational Managerand Speech and Language Therapy Professional Lead.

You will provide clinical leadership for a team that includes registeredspeech and language therapists, assistant practitionersand support workers. Excellent team working and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously to assess and manage a caseload of complexpatients.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate leadershipcapabilities reaching beyond their clinical area of expertise. You need to be resilient and able to manage and prioritise your caseload whilst supporting the work and development of the team, managing conflicting demands using your prioritisation, organisation and communication skills and proposing solutions to complex problems.

TheSpeech and Language Therapydepartment provide clinical inpatient and outpatient services to a variety of specialities, includingCritical Care, Voice and ENT and Head and Neck Oncology. The department is well established in facilitating the training ofSpeech and Language Therapystudents and staff are involved in delivering a variety of rolling training programmes for other health care professionals across the Trust, relating toeating, drinking and communication.
