• Payroll experience, supporting weekly and monthly pay schedules, including PAYE, Pension, tax etc and everything that goes with it, the end to end process
• Sage experience (not the herb)
• Confidence handling related queries (the people person bit)
• Being smart, hard working and a team player enough, to pick up, chip in with and deal with other things handled by the finance and other head office colleagues you'll work closely with e.g. Answering pay queries, processing sick notes, dealing with mat/pat leave

Well policies and procedures are really important to any care home company, especially one that is growing, so expect to be updating these and adding to them.

You will be a dab hand on employee law and regulations, think disciplinaries, grievances and long term sickness.

If employee engagement is your cup of tea, then brew up. This company is ready to be challenged, if you have idea's then they will want to hear them.

General recruitment knowledge would also be useful, including agency usage, DBS checks, referencing and on-boarding new starters.

OK so there is a lot to the job and you would be right in thinking they are looking for an all good rounder, but you certainly won't be bored in this role and there is on the job training available.

Ideally you will have a driving license as well as they would like you to get to know the teams within their care homes as of course you will be closely supporting them.

Previous elderly care exposure/experience is not essential, but it would be a nice thing to have. You will feel comfortable around the elderly and like engaging with them.

A CIPD qualification would be a nice thing to have, but is not essential, whats most important is that you have a HR background.

• Standardising induction and ongoing training programmes group-wide.
• Centralising training records and matrixes.
• Implementing and tracking all that is associated with the above on an ongoing basis.
• Research, investigation incorporation and dissemination of the latest evidence-based practice, in context with each unique service in the group.
• Mandating and facilitation of NVQ's level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care for the Care staff teams.
