Role and Responsibilities:
The Accounts Assistant will play a critical role within the finance department, focusing on invoicing, credit control, and reconciliation duties. Key responsibilities include:
* Inputting, matching, and coding purchase invoices
* Processing payments
* Reconciling supplier payments
* Managing credit control
* Handling Accounts Receivable and sending statements
* Conducting cash forecasting
* Resolving customer billing queries in collaboration with sales colleagues
* Performing bank reconciliations
* Managing finance emails
* Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required
Ideal Candidate Profile & Essential Qualifications:
* Experience in finance clerical roles
* Proficient in handling large volumes of data and financial information
* Strong skills in Outlook and Excel
* Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to use initiative and work independently
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Highly responsible and well-organized
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in Accounts Receivable
* Level 3 AAT qualification or higher with commercial experience in a finance or accounts team
* Understanding of Credit Control and knowledge of Sales, Purchase, and General Ledger
