I am currently working with a Braintree based secondary school which is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Computer Science (ICT) Teacher to join the team starting in September 2024. The school are committed to providing high-quality education to students, equipping them with the digital literacy and skills necessary for success in the 21st century.
The successful ICT teacher will be working across both key stage 3 / KS3 and Key stage 4 / KS4, including lesson planning & prep as well as exam marking for GCSE’s. The applicant must be able to engage their students through engaging and dynamic learning, which will be paramount in helping achieve excellence in ICT.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons that nurture strong communication skills, literary analysis, and a love for Tech.
• Cultivate a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the world wide web.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the ICT department.
• Actively participate in ICT-related extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications:
• A relevant degree in ICT, Computer science or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as an ICT Teacher at the secondary school level.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay current with educational best practices..
