How You Will Contribute:

As an Electro-optics Hardware Designer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-speed electro-optics components for the receiver optical-to-electrical (Rx OE) modem subsystem in Ciena’s coherent Wavelogic products.  In this role, you’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary modem integration team to drive a wide range of innovative electro-optic technologies in a world-class R&D lab environment.  

The successful candidate will

• Own and document requirements for Wavelogic modem analog coherent receiver hardware elements, including silicon photonic electro-optic functions, BiCMOS/CMOS amplifiers, and the physical realization of the receiver chain including digital control and transitions between the elements.

• Own the concatenated Rx OE modem subsystem RF response and coordinate/allocate subcomponent RF requirements.

• Collaborate with internal and external electro-optic component suppliers to define component specifications and the required performance characterization/verification against the specifications.

• Work within an interdisciplinary modem integration team consisting of systems, test, ADC, DSP, PCB, firmware, production, and product engineers.

• Work with factory component and modem test engineers to optimize existing test methods and design new methods.

• Interpret wafer, device, and modem factory test data to identify problems and help devise solutions.

• Provide mentorship for testing prototypes in the lab to validate designs.

How You Will Contribute:

As an Electro-optics Hardware Designer in the Coherent Receiver team, you will contribute to the integration and test of the receiver optical-to-electrical (Rx OE) modem subsystem in Ciena’s coherent Wavelogic products.  In this role, you’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary modem integration team to design, test, and verify a wide range of innovative electro-optic technologies in a world-class R&D lab environment.

• Work within an interdisciplinary modem integration team consisting of systems, test, ADC, DSP, PCB, firmware, production, and product engineers.

• Develop code in Matlab to calibrate and perform design verification testing of the Rx OE subsystem in prototype and early production Wavelogic coherent optical modems.

• Work with a very large existing Matlab codebase to

  • develop new calibration and verification factory procedures, including sophisticated heuristics, for current and next-generation Rx OE subsystems in Ciena coherent modems;

  • debug, improve and optimize existing calibration and verification procedures.

• Support the factory calibration and verification of coherent modems by

  • investigating modem receiver hardware issues;

  • debugging test station issues;

  • writing new drivers and algorithms for new test-station instrumentation;

  • analyzing “big data” to identify manufacturing drift, optimize yield/throughput, and re-center Rx OE application designs.

• Interpret wafer, device, and modem factory test data to identify Rx OE subsystem problems and help devise solutions.

• Write unit-tests and practice test-driven design in all coding activities.

• Conform to existing code standards.

• Use Git (Bitbucket) for version control.

• Write excellent documentation.

This job provides direct care to patients and assists with non-direct patient care unit coordination. They is expected to maintain the patient/family environment and perform general unit upkeep. Will work under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in the care of the acutely ill and/or complex patient. The incumbent receives specific work assignments from the Charge Nurse and/or Care Team Leader which are both written & verbal and is expected to demonstrate evidence of efficient time management by completing the work within the scheduled time. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the incumbent is expected to perform a variety of duties related to the coordination of activities on the inpatient unit. This includes activities related to patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as: activities of daily living, skin survey, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, point of care testing, bladder scanning, transporting of patients and their medical record, documentation of O2, early mobilization and ambulation protocols, assistance with exam, treatments and procedures. Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Software Development Manager to join the Entertainment and Media Solutions (EMS) group. Reporting to our Senior Director of Engineering, you will be central to our success - a collaborator who bridges business needs and engineering requirements that help our customers create, access, and share their content via the cloud. We are looking for a strong leader, communicator with a balance of technical knowledge and project leadership. Ideally, you have led teams developing scalable cloud services in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to nurture talent, develop/advocate best practices, foster open communication, and provide guidance and mentoring to effective and high-performing teams to deliver high-quality solutions to their customers. Our digital content creation tools form the incredible software backbone of the entertainment industry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an engineering team building the future of productivity and creativity in media and entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for business outcomes for the teams as well as engineering excellence
• Inspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, optimal creativity and efficiency
• Lead and mentor developers to develop their careers and to achieve individual success
• Recruit and nurture best talents to develop high-performing teams
• Organize and track software development activities to continually make progress on the roadmap
• Communicate the status of the project to internal stakeholders
• Participate in customer meetings to maintain awareness of their priorities
• Coordinate with other teams, on engineering best practices and dependencies and business outcomes
• Develop Autodesk culture values in the teams
• Enhance engineering efficiency by closely observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing the improvement
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship to the teammates
• Help teams to understand the importance of customer-centricity and build customer empathy

Minimum Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in the industry involving designing and developing cloud/server applications and services
• 5+ years of management experience, with mentoring and coaching highly competent SW developers
• Excellent communication skills, ability to state complex subjects simply for a variety of audiences
• Self-starter who can come up to speed quickly and identify the problems that need to be solved
• Experience and well-versed in leading in an Agile development environment.
• Knowledge and experience with web technology stack, cloud computing, and cloud database technologies
• Knowledge in building operationally excellent and maintainable cloud services
• University degree in software engineering or related field, is an asset
